Hello everyone,

First, I am very happy I found this forum and with my first post, I salute you all.
I have a bunch of questions for you that I've search myself for but I found very little on the subject. I was actually surprised that I found a forum.

My big question is do I suffer of Peyronies or Congenital Curvature? What are some differences between them? Witch is easier to correct?

I am in my mid 20's and I don't really remember when I got a bent penis but I definitely had it for at least 12 years and as I remember, it got progressively worse. Now it's bent to the left at ~30°. I have no lumps,  the skin and under skin feel OK, there is no unusual color and I don't have erectile dysfunction. It feels and looks like a normal penis except for the fact that it's bent to the left.
Since it's been ~12 years since I had this, I'm afraid that the condition is chronic. Am I paranoid?

What I would like to do is buy a Peyronies device(traction I quess). Do you guys think that a Peyronies device will work? And if it's going to work, will it stay that way?(I don't want to have a device on my penis for the rest of my life)

Thank you in advance for the answers,

P.S. I apologize for the bad English.

English is not the mother language of many of us so no problem there.
To be sure you have Peyronies or congenital curvature you should see a specialist.
You may find one close to you here:
Urology Clinics Romania - Find a better Urologist in Romania
Maybe:
Ionel Alexandru Checherita | Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy | OMICS Group
I don't know non of them personally so I can't advise on the better/best.
The treatment of congenital curve and Peyronies are very different, this is the reason you need to see a doctor.
By the way, the curve is affecting your sexual activity?

James,

I find it a little embarrassing to go to the urologist with this issue; I know I shouldn't be, but that's life. :)
Maybe there are some sort of diagnostics that I perform at home. Anyways, how are the treatments different? Are you saying that a Peyronies device works on only one of the conditions?
I don't have any problems with my sexual life, that I know of. Just little inconveniences(position wise) that I create to myself when having sex to avoid any for the girlfriend.

A few things:
* You should not be embarrassed to go to an urologist, his job is to see people with problems and help them.
* For Peyronies you have many treatments (oral, different injection including Xiaflex, PRP etc', VED, traction, different surgeries) while congenital curve have no oral treatments, maybe traction may help, I don't know, remain just surgery.
* Surgery for congenital curvature is not advised (usually) if the bend is less than 30 degree.
* Surgery is not advised if you don't have problems with intercourse.
* Many congenital curvature surgeries made by not enough competent/experienced surgeons ended up worsening the situation, surgery is a last instance.
* Surgery should be done just with a leading surgeon with wide experience and using up to date Technics.
All the above is my opinion, other may think different.
Proposing you to read as much as you can on the forum regarding the subject before taking any decision.
