I am a 22 years old student from Romania. Currently I am attending courses at the Faculty of Engineering - Department Automation and Applied Information Science. I wasn't officially diagnosed by any specialist that I have Peyronies Disease as I never visited a doctor so far.

From what I could observe myself, my penis is actually bent downwards at an angle which exceeds 35 degress ( it may be a little bit severe ), yet I cannot tell the exact value, this would involve professional measurements.
I was confused at first because I didn't recall any trauma from the past. Then I concluded, being very possible, that it might be CPC ( Congenital Penile Curvature ) as I had many surgeries in my past, especially when I was a newborn. Even from I birth I had bilateral hip luxation ( only one hip was corrected with a surgical method ), congenital kidney disease and also a problem at the testicles ( one was more lifted than the other one, corrected through surgery ). All of these were inherited, genetically related. My mother had RH-bloodgroup negative, and this was a decisive factor for my faith.

From what I can tell, and from my childhood flashbacks, I think I had this bent from long ago, only that it wasn't so severe at that time. I also can offer you this information that I don't feel any kind of pain during errection. The feelings are specifically normal. I am still confused at this point.

As I am focused on my studies right now, I was never in a relationship with a girl. I am a religious person and I cannot see a sexual relationship before marriage. My parents don't always agree with my life perspectives. From their personal view they think that a relationship can break apart if the intimacy part is altered. I may be too young to judge this but I do think that I am doing the right thing. I am not sure if I should take the surgery method in consideration as I am a little bit anxious about this, and also if medicine will have any effect if it is congenital.

Its also unclear to me if intercourse might be difficult or impossible. After all I can avoid any relationship only that I wont end up more frustrated.

I can also emphatize with you all that are in a similar situation. I could post some advice or helpfull information on how to engage the psychological problems that arise from Peyronies or Congenital Penile Curvature. I will support you as well as much as I can.

Thank you for taking your time reading these lines. And sorry for my english, it might be not the best.

Sadly, I can't advise you any good urologists in Romania as myself don't know also.
This what I found from a google search:
Urology Clinics Romania - Find a better Urologist in Romania
&
Ionel Alexandru Checherita, MD, PhD
Department of Nephrology
"Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy
Romania

Also have huge difference on treating Peyronies and treating Congenital curvature, so you should try to find an urologist in the best hospital in your city and if you have the resources you have to see him in his private clinic if he have one.
In the mean time, try to learn as much as you can on the forum.

Rafael,
I was born with a significant downward curve, 20 - 30 degress maybe,  its not that abnormal.  Its actually good for certain positions with a female.  Ask a Doctor if your condition will hinder intercourse, if he suggests surgery see a couple of Doctors before doing anything that extreme.  I am on this forum, because I develop indents and a sideways curve that I was not born with...I remember in my younger days being worried about the downward curve, but after I started having sex it was no big deal and women never mentioned it.  Just my opinion...

Rafael,

The following is a link to our library, and there is a PDF file attached that gives instructions on how to more accurately measure yourself. Please let me know if you have any questions about it.

Dear members,

Following the advice of james I can give you now some more information about my condition. So, I got myself an appointment at an urologist who had a private clinic in my city. I visited him on friday, 16.01.2015. He was a young doctor but very polite and helpful I must say. This is what he wrote on my medical letter :

Diagnostic : Suspicion on ventral penile curvature

Anamnesis : The reason for my presence : Affirmative ventral penile curvature in erection state.

To give you an insight of what happened I will tell you how the conversation went between us. At first I was a little bit reserved telling him why I came to him. Yet, I told him that my penis seems to curve downard when its actually in erection. He asked me various questions like the angle of the curve, if I have leakages, pain. I answered him as far as I judged my situation. After that he did a full examination and this is what came out :

Objective Examination : External genital Organs : regular aspect

So yes, basically what I know for now is that I don"t have any plague along my penis, so Peyronies disease seems to be excluded from this.

Not to forget he asked me if I had any sexual contact till now, and I answered that I didnt. So in this case he recommended me to bring him a profile photo of my erect penis for a better appreciation of the curve.

I will have to take all my courage once more and bring him the picture to see how the verdict would sound, will I be able to have intercourse or not .... The doctor advised me that there are indeed medical procedures to correct the curve, but he doesn't recommend me these. Hope to hear good news from him so wish me luck !

First Rafael, wish you good luck :)
As I wrote you before, you should not feel shame to talk to a medical personal, even if she is a beautiful doctors or nurse :)
Also happy you don't have a plaque.
Bring him the picture and see what he will say.

Firstly, it's good that your uro does not suspect Peyronies Disease, really great news. Secondly, there is no need to feel any shame, after all, I'm sure he has seen many similar medical images. Just make sure you delete it from your phone/camera afterwards so it can't accidentally be seen by anyone else, because that could be embarrassing, trust me on that.
When it comes to working out whether you could have successful intercourse with a woman, it can very much depend on how she is built. What is ok for one might not be for another, the same goes for size. But with a curve of 35 degrees I would be surprised if you encountered any difficulties.

This will probably be my last post here in the Introduction section.

So, I went back to my urologist on the 26th of February to bring him the pictures I've taken with my smartphone. I waited for about 2 hours almost because I couldn't get any schedule with him that day but he still wanted to see me nevertheless.

With the help of WillisJr I managed to measure the right angle of the curvature ( I mention here again that I have a downward curve ). After we compared our measurements it turned out that I was too optimistic at the beginning. When I first said that the curve was greater than 35 degrees I was right, but in the end it was almost double , it was 65 degrees at best, so I was just under 70 degrees.

With this kind of curve even the doctor said that I might need surgery indeed to correct the bent. Intercourse might be very difficult for me, not impossible but complicated. He told me that he will also have to shorten it in the end , which gave me a moment of anxiety for sure. Besides, I also knew that surgery is pretty risky here with the possible side effects it may arrive. So I decided to show him the second picture. He was really surprised. In the second photo the penis was erect but I could manage to straighten it without pain at all. He asked me if it was still erect in that straight state and I told him yes. With the help of my hand I can correct the bend very easily without putting much pressure at all. So if its still rigid at this point, linear penetration is indeed possible.

My urologist compared the 2 photos for a moment and after he carefully analyzed the situation he told me ,, Perfect, there is no surgery needed ! ". I felt a great relief inside of me. He told me that ,, I am good to go ". However I should be extra-careful during intercourse so that I don't suffer any fracture.

Maybe its too soon to judge if it works or not, before I didn't even try it yet. But I would be really glad if my urologist was right about all this and that I don't engage any problems during sex. One day or another I will find out. He is pretty young and quite inexperienced. My only chance is to put everything to the test and validate his statement.

First I agree that if you don't need surgery is very good.
What I don't understand is how you can straiten out 70 bend when erect without pain. Is the erection a strong one?
I am moving your topic to the "Open Questions" board to have continuity, not to cut the flow of the topic by locking it.
