Hi
I'm new here, although I have been reading old posts for a month since I found this site. I am 65 years old, in good health for my age, married. I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in August 2013, had a RRP in Sept 2013. To treat the usual post surgical ED, I have been using tri-mix. I began to develop Peyronies in August 2014. Its an upward curve, probably about 60-70 degrees ( I have not measured it) and not involved in the injection sites. My Urologist does not think its related to the tri mix. I also have Depuytrens contracture in my hands, which is apparently a related condition. I suspect the poor blood flow is the major contributor. Daily Cialis helps with REM erections, but of course, my insurance company says its "not essential" and will not cover the substantial costs. My Doctor placed me on Pentox and referred me to the urology group at SF State. I will see them in January. I am also taking L-Arginine, Q10, and L-Carnitine.

I have been trying to find a VED to use for this. Seeing so many older posts about Vitality 3 cylinder, I contacted Fitzz, but they have not replied to emails or phone calls. Most of the referrals for VED's are older posts. The Prostate Forum guys like the Bonro Vacujet for blood flow and for ED. But is it a good choice for Peyronies?  I just Pm'd Oldman for his opinion.

The emotional roller coaster from having cancer to this has been pretty rough. Frankly, Peyronies has depressed me more than the cancer. It seems as if the prognosis for beating cancer is better than for beating Peyronies. The lack of support from insurance companies is appalling.

I am grateful for this site and the enormous support it offers.

Patio;

You seem at least to be in the hands of medics who know more about this disease than many. Pentox is one of the most highly thought of treatments for Peyronies. The supplements you're taking will also hope fully halt any further progression. Have you had an ultrasound to determine the extent of the plaque?

Re VED. Old Man is a nice guy. He knows all there is to know about those devices.

None of us wants this horrible condition. And yes, it hits you just as hard mentally as physically. The main thing is to have the support of your partner and to not give up the fight. I can't pretend there's a guaranteed cure - there isn't. However, it can be managed and improved.

I have not had an ultrasound yet. I imagine once I get in to the SF State Urology group that's probably one of the first things we'll do
