Hi to all.  I'm new to this forum but not new to penile issues.  I had a lump on my penis for over 25 years and had seen several urologist during that time and none could figure it out.  The nerve pain finally became too much and had a biopsy (benign) done in October of this year.  Turns out it was a Schwannoma tumor about half the size of a little smokie.  No pun intended.  From my research, having this type of a tumor on the penis is extremely rare.  Only 30 cases or so known as of 2011. I had it removed finally last week by a specialist in San Fransisco. The nerve pain is the same and even a little worse sometimes than before the surgery but I hope it's residual and will fade.  Now it's time to address the peyronies.  I have about a 30 degree curvature and erections are excruciating.  I can feel it trying to grow longer but it can't and just sits there and feels like it's going to rip apart.  The urologist that removed the tumor suggested that I try XIAFLEX.  From what I researched, the results of this haven't been very promising.  Has anyone tried this treatment?  My local urologist wants to do the surgery where a vein from my leg is grafted into my penis.  I see him on Monday for a follow up to my surgery to make sure all is healing well and will ask him about the XIAFLEX but was wondering what you all thought.  Thanks in advance.

We have a board dedicated to Xiaflex here:
Xiaflex - Trials and Treatment results - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums
I don't know from where you have the information:
QuoteFrom what I researched, the results of this haven't been very promising.
Regarding your question:
QuoteHas anyone tried this treatment?
In the link above you will find many forum members that had, most with very good or excellent results.
I am proposing you to read and get more information before you are going to make surgery. Surgery is considered as last choice on this forum.

Thank you for the link to the information and discussion of this treatment.  I'm reading and will continue to read through it.  It appears that the info I had found wasn't completely accurate.  Thank you again.

Xiaflex has no guarantees, but I think is certainly worth trying. There is not other way to know if it will work for you specifically or not.
