Painful erection 2 weeks after turbt - peyronies disease?

I'm male, 26 years old.
I'm possibly jumping the gun here by joining the forum, but from reading this morning, I'm not so sure.

A tumour was found in my bladder recently, and I had an operation using a rigid cystoscope to remove it 2 weeks ago.
I still have lots of pain in my penis(especially when I 'lift' it), it hurts to urinate, and I am unable to get much more than a 'semi-erection' due to the severe pain of getting hard.
I also think that, when my penis is hard(ish), it now bends down in the middle (downwards)whereas it didn't before!

Could the doc have given me peyronie's due to the trauma in my penis of sticking huge instruments into my urethra creating scar tissue?

I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms. It could be Peyronie's as you say or urethral scarring. I also have bending that appears to originate from my urethra. The thing to do now is to see a specialist for it and find out what's going on. Actually mine got much worse after a cystoscopy also.

Perhaps you need more time to heal, and your penis just needs to rest. Either way I think we do tend to suspect cystoscopies to cause trauma leading to Peyronies Disease. Try not to panic and just take the next steps to figure out what you can do.

I guess it could just need more time to heal, but with the pain on the underside and the curve when hard(ish) i'm concerned that as it 'heals' it's actually just buliding more scar tissue to further strengthen the 'curve'.
It's been 2 weeks. I spoke to someone who was in pain for 3 weeks, but I don't see why this 'curve' would suddenly just dissappear once the pain has stopped.

My penis has also been bigger for the last 2 weeks (if only that was the only side effect of my surgery!!)
I've always felt a little on the small side when flaccid, but not at the moment.
Why would this be?
It's thicker, longer, and it feels 'hardish' when flaccid.

I'll be upset when it does revert back to its usual size, but it'll be worth it if i'm able to get a proper erection without extreme pain and without this new downward curve.

I have a CT scan on Tuesday. Not sure i'll have teh chance to talk to anyone who can help me then, though?

subterfuge

woken up in lots of pain as my body tried to get an erection last night! ouch.

Someone on another thread said that the 'hard flaccid' is basically priapism.
SOmeone else said that it's an issue with the pelvic floor.
I get the feeling that if I tell my urologist that my penis is now harder when flaccid, he'll tell me i'm imagining it.
It seems to often be the case that theses experts dismiss many concerns.

And I don't know for sure whether this hard flaccid is contributing to the very painful erections or not.

Am I right in thinking that, if it is peyronies, the pain when erect tends to get better at least?

And is there anything I can do to help the pain at the moment? My body is dying to 'release' but it can't due to the pain.

subterfuge

also, not that I suppose it matters, but I can get rid of the 'hard flaccid' temporarily by resting a hotwater bottle on my penis.
Don't know if this actually 'helps' anything at all, though.

Still unable to get an erection (due to pain) even after having a 'soft' penis

subterfuge,

Heat helps many of us by reducing deformity (softening plaques and bringing blood to the area). Again you have to push yourself to see a specialist on Peyronie's and bring forth one question, which is whether or not you have ventral plaque or urethral trauma, or both. I highly recommend you order bottles of both CoQ10 and ALCAR, and try to get pentox from your specialist. Perhaps anti-inflammatory drugs could help your pain at the moment.

There are no easy answers, and sometimes it appears as if there are no answers at all, but don't give up hope.

Do NOT force erections, do not erection check. I am not implying that you're doing too much, but I recommend you don't force anything. There was a time when I could not get erections either due to stress due to Peyronie's. It was literally impossible to get an erection for a while and I lost my mind. Is your penis bending on the underside a lot? like buckling or hinging? Can you describe it in detail? Hard-flaccid is usually a sign of inflammation from my experience. Mine got much better after I stopped masturbating as often and started trying to relax my pelvic area. Stretching my penis for years has also stopped the hinging, straightened me out, and made my penis hang much more healthy, and not like typical hard-flaccid.

The penis takes a long time to heal from any kind of damage. Now I want to suggest you start doing traction right now, but I have no idea what's going on with your urethra or penis, so please see a specialist first. If you want to do something now (with no guarantees) you could try some traction even manually to try to straighten your flaccid penis out. Be warned, while this has helped many guys and nearly cured me it has serious risks.. I personally think ventral scarring should respond well to stretching / traction.

In the meantime stay hydrated to keep your urethra healthy.

Hey, NeoV

I am going to see my urologist tomorrow about the pain, although I get the impression that it will be a waste of time.
I think they'll say that the pain is 'normal after an operation like my one and will go soon' and I bet he'll more or less say i'm imagining that my penis now curves downwards when erect (or as erect as it can be before the pain prevents a full erection)

Yes, i'm not forcing erections at all. Kind of the opposite, really!

Since the op, my penis seems bigger all of the time. It feels harder when flaccid, and I feel as though I can get an erection almost at will.
It's like a dream-come-true(!), or at least it would be if it didn't come with a huge dose of pain if I lift my penis or if I get anything more than a semi-erection.
(If I ever work out exactly what causes it and can find a way to re-create this but without the pain, I could work out how to give guys bigger penises when flaccid and ready-to-go at a moments notice and be a billionaire!!)

It's hard to judge how severe the downward bend actually is due to the fact that it hurts too much to get fully hard, which it would need to be in order to properly access it.
However, I know my own body well, and in the 70% erect state, there is a slight downward curve that there wasn't before.
When flacid, I don't think I notice any bend.

I don't think i'll have a chance of getting any pentox, although I'd like too, as I've heard some fairly positive things about it, and it would be good to treat this potential issue early in my eyes

And yes, I'm keeping hydrated.

If the pain is in your urethra it may be safe to assume it's been injured, but still as you know there's not much that can be done. Still, seeing someone who specializes in Peyronie's is the way to go. Let us know how your appointment goes.

Urologist wasn't much use. He WAS surprised by my pains (an incredulous ''Really?'' at mention of the pain of getting an erection)

He said to give it time as it's only been 2 weeks since I had surgery to remove a tumour. He said it Might be referred pain from my bladder. Possible some injury from the instruments. He said to give it time.

I'm concerned, though. It just isn't improving at all. Woke up again last night in pain. I just had a 'semi erection' that was bent down as I was woken, and as I straightened it out, it hurt a lot.

Anyone here from the UK who can send me some pentox to try?!!!!

NeoV

Subterfuge,

Scans of your urethra can test for urethral narrowing (scarring). A cystoscopy into the urethra, not in the bladder, can also look for urethral scarring. Peyronie's is harder to diagnose, as inflammation from the urethra may have spread to the tunica. If your penis is bent upon erection, that is not good news, and you should immediately find the closest specialist to you and see him for a diagnosis.

Your case sounds not unlike mine, or anyone's here. A sudden onset of painful erections with a bend in the morning was something that happened to me, and others I know here.

Step 1, find the best possible specialist near you.
Step 2, decide what oral treatments to take
Step 3, consider traction or VED therapy. I personally recommend traction if your bending is ventral.

For now eat as healthy as possible, consider anti inflammatories, perhaps even ice the area or try heat.

Please make a new post on the progression sub forum so we can continue discussing this if need be. See you there.
