Single or 3 Cylinder VED?

Hi there,

I incurred an injury during sex about 6 months ago and within two months it was confirmed I have Peyronies.  Over the last two months my condition has worsened significantly and I am looking to do anything I possibly can to combat this!

I have sent some PM's to OldMan who has been very helpful and kind in his responses. I can't thank him enough for the assistance so far.

Currently I am using a sex-shop VED called "Hydromax Hydropump X30", it is meant to be used with water inside, but I am just using it with air because I don't want to be constantly refilling it with water (and water going everywhere) and I still seem to get fine suction without it.  Hopefully using this device isn't causing me more damage?  Because symptoms are just getting worse and worse...The left side of my penis where the injury occurred is hard down the whole side and still curves to the left after using it..

I am looking at getting a medical grade VED and it was recommended that I purchase the "Osbon Erecaid Esteem one cylinder model VED".  I was wondering what the difference between using this one and a 3cylinder one are, and which one will I likely see the best success with?  I really want to fix the bend to the left, the indentations, and hourglassing I am experiencing and would like to get the device that will best suit me for this.  I want to know that whatever I get is likely to fix this because everything I have done so far feels futile and its only getting worse!

You may find your answers here:

VED therapy is a marathon, not a sprint.
Generally, the 3 cylinder VED is more efficient fro straightening, while the one cylinder can straiten also, but mainly to have blood flow into the penis. Careful not to over-pump.
Anyhow, you are in good hands with Old Man advises.

Thanks for linking me to that James, I have had a read through most of the pages there again, and it seems that most people who have a bend (in my case, to the left), and other symptoms such as hourglassing and indentations, are using a 3 cylinder VED.

So I take it that 3 cylinder models are more for treating peyronies, and single cylinder for ED?   However the only real studies out there on VED and Peyronies seem to be with single cylinder models.... It seems most people here are using 3 cylinder ones with the 26 week protocol.

I really want to make a decision tonight because this whole situation is extremely distressing for me and I have been taking meds and supplements and my condition has only worsened, and considering I would have to order it online, and being in Australia, it will take a while to arrive.  I should not that I have a traction device but am worried to use that because I don't want to cause any further scarring around where the noose is, and using it in the past has hurt me probably from too much tension and may have even worsened things.

I am worried that with either a single cylinder or 3 cylinder VED, that the curve may actually worsen because of the healthy side of the penis being stretched further than the scarred side.  Not only could this make the curve worse, but I assume it could also actually damage the healthy side and cause scarring there too!  When I use the sex VED I feel the stretch far more on the healthy side than I do on the affected side.. This worries me.   I wonder if I just left it from the beginning if things would be as bad as they are now.

I just don't know what to do, and there is so much information that it is hard to digest it all, and decide what will be best for me.

So, is a 3 cylinder VED going to be the SAFEST and BEST thing for me to do given my symptoms (I do not have ED that much as it stands, I am 25 years old) that will yield the best results?  If so, which one should I get?

the SOMAerectStf Plus and SOMAerectStf are all over $600 which is very expensive, so I want to make sure I am making the right decision!

I also read a lot of people saying they cant even fit into the A cylinder so I would hate to spend all that money and not even be able to use it...

I am expressing my own opinion, I am using a single cylinder VED:
1. The VED, used carefully, will not make any damage.
2. Probably the 3 cylinder is better for the bend, I was not able to get one where I am living now, but the VED eliminated 3 hourglass I had.
3. The stretching of the softer side, can't be more than the side that have plaque as this side limiting the general expansion.
4. Many people can't use the cylinder A, right.
5. You may want to see how other people built they own cylinders. Check it out on this board.
6. Stick to Old Man advises.

Thanks for the reply again James,

It seems like the 3 cylinder one is hard to find for Australia.  You mention the 3 cylinder one may be best for the bend so if that is the case and I am recommended to get a 3cylinder one then I will search for that and definitely wait till I can get one.....  But if I am recommended a single cylinder one to fix the bend, hourglassing and dents etc. then at least I know I can purchase the Osbon Erecaid and get it delivered immediately.  Still, I don't want to make a decision based on convenience.

Thanks again, hopefully I can get some more advice and make an informed decision tonight!

Also, this is the sex shop VED I have now that is meant to use with water inside it -  I DO NOT use water in it at the moment because its messy and difficult that way.. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/ODkyWDEwMDA=/z/NN8AAMXQlgtRuuXP/$(KGrHqNHJE4FGjl6lj8cBRuu(O8Z5w~~60_35.JPG
Do you think this is safe to use for the time being?  If you look at the picture, it works simply by pushing down and it creates suction.  WWhen I release the pressure by pressing the button on the top, the seal at the base is often broken - I have read that keeping a seal is vital, I don't know why exactly - but the way mine works do you think it is fine to use for the time being - or too dangerous considering the seal breaks when I release the pressure every 30 seconds?

james1947

The seal brake is not dangerous, just makes your VED session more difficult because you have to seal again and again.
Release the pressure not completely, just partially.
Cut short or shave your pubic hear.
Both advises above will help.
Most important: DO NOT OVER_PUMP

Okay will do.  I think I may have overpumped  again a little this morning (I have been using the device completely wrong for weeks at a time, on and off up until a week ago - this makes me wonder if I unnecessarily made my condition much worse).  As much as I want to do something about it now, I think I will leave it for a day.

If anyone else would like to share their opinion on anything I have mentioned please feel free :)   Thanks again.
