Intercourse dangerous with Peyronies Disease (hourglass)? Fleshligh or Tenga fliphole?

Hello everyone,

Hope I'm posting on the correct board.
During my 1st appointment, I asked my urologist if I should stop having sex for a while.
His answer was "no, you can continue" (maybe with a bit more caution).
What do you think about that?

It may be more cautious that I give a try first with a fleshlight, just to see how my body reacts and if it generates some pain the days after. I'm mentioning pain the days after because I can manage a potential soft pain during the intercourse (till I can please my partner, I'm already 90% happy, but based onexperience, most girls like it rough too, which may not be anymore compatible with my condition), but what I'm really afraid is that the intercourse may worsen my condition, hence I don't know if I should date and give a real try, or just step-out from girl(s) for a (big??) while (which is quite depressing because after dating, if you have good feelings, the girl will want intercourse -myself too!-, and without intercourse, difficult to start a true relationship).

If I go the route to try a device to test my body reactions, and also to generate blood flow which is, as far as I understood beneficial, do you recommend the fleshlight (probably the Stamina Unit since it seems to be the softer/safer one) or the tenga fliphole (the white one which is the softer) which seems way easier to clean?

Actually the main criteria is which one is safer to avoid any adverse impact on Peyronies Disease.

The opinions are divided on the subject and depend very much on your condition and pain.
Some are supporting the "Use it or lose it" approach, some are abstaining from sex not to cause more damage.
In any case, no rough sex to avoid additional damage.

Hi James,
Thanks for your input.

That's a hard call then :(
Dunno what to do.

I've the impression that for me, and with the very limited experience I have with Peyronies Disease, it's more "use it or lose it" (from a penis size perspective, and also because I have the impression that the calcification is growing).
But if I would try with a girl, it may even get worth, hard to now.

Then maybe my best option for the time being would be to try with a tenga to keep it soft and safe, and to avoid deathgrip.
But pelvic clenching may be detrimental :(

I am 67, with left bend, curved up, 5 cm shorter (was 18 cm now 13) and 60% from the original girth, still active sexually (with 25 or 50 mg Viagra) and able to satisfy my partner. Important foreplay, oral and some positions, not all as in the past.
You are still young and treating this disease will get you back on course. :)
Don't give up, just be aware and careful not to have additional damage.

Thanks for your kind words James.

Indeed I'm reading as much as possible to correlate experiences from persons in this forum with my condition, in order to built , what I believe would be, the most appropriate treatment for me.

But that's not easy since for some stuff (like should I have sex to avoid the "use it or lose it" syndrom, or should I refrain having sex to avoid inflammation and worsening of my condition), we don't know if doing one thing or the opposite is the right way to go.

You are right MatP.
We are always saying that if something works for one, it not means will work for others.

MatP--Although we are all trying to learn from each other, one of the things I have learned from others here is how very different we all are!

When I first got this condition, sex/ejaculation of any sort seemed to aggravate everything--inflammation, hard flaccid, turtle-ing. So, based on experiences from some people (notably NeoV), I just dropped any kind of ejaculation for a while, and felt better. So much better that I kept it up for six weeks.

Mind you, I didn't give up having erections. Just voluntary ejaculation.

With erections, I can easily believe that it's a matter of "have them or lose them." But I'm not convinced that 'use it or lose it' applies to sex/masturbation. After taking a break from sex, I found my rate of erections, and their hardness, going through the roof. So I definitely wasn't losing anything by not using it.

That's just me, though. I think all you can do is try different things and pay close attention.

Or, as Obi-Wan Kenobi might say, "Listen to your penis, Luke."

Ursus:
I think I went through the same route as you.
Until about 1-2 months, I believe I was still in the inflammatory phase, and i decided also to just not have erection/ejaculation, even VED seemed to not be right at that time.
Since a few weeks, I don't have the impression to have inflammation. I can perform a bit of VED, and I tried the Tenga twice.
Interestingly, when having erections at night, it hurts a bit, but when using the Tenga, it doesn't hurt anymore, which is a good sign.

You are right, I'm listening to it :)
Now that I see that it doesn't hurt, and that erections are fine, I need to be able to cope with the fact that I have lost in girth and size, and that it may not be enough for some partners :(
There's still foreplay and soft penetration, but I'm already afraid to be in the intercourse and notice that, she wants more :0/

Hopefully Pentox (which I started today) will allow to reduce calcification, and VED may allow to decrease hourglassing and decrease in size and girth, but so far, no improvement on that side.

May the force be with us :)

For softening the plaque, addition of 2.5 mg Cialis daily to the Pentox and daily carefully VED, will benefit you more than Pentox alone.

Much as I hate to quote myself, I'd like to invite others to comment. Some people on this board have very cogent arguments against my statement:

James:
Ok, thanks for the tip about Cialis.
It just sounds weird to me before Cialis is for me connected to ED, which I don't have, but I do understand that it will improve the bloodflow hence it makes sense.
Yesterday for the 1st time in a while, I tried a pre-workout supplement before my gym session. That's basically a vasodilatator (like Pentox) but optimized for a gym session.
In the evening, I had the impression that one plaque was way softer (but it may just have been an impression).
Today, the plaque seems hard again.
I will do another try next week and check more carefully if the PWO supplement really does a temporary change.
The supplement is based on pine bark extracts, grape seeds extracts, citrulline malate and other stuff

The 2.5 mg Cialis is for people that don't have ED. It may also increases the blood to the penis, but also have some evidence that Pentox softens the plaques better with the addition of the Cialis. VED helped me also in the subject.

You experienced temporary plaque softening with the supplement, I agree with you that you should try it again. We know that Peyronies is a very individual disease and maybe this supplement will work on you to soften the plaques faster.

MatP;

The plaque can be very deceptive. It seems to move, get smaller, get larger, etc. all depending on when and how yiu examine yourself. You need to evaluate over a a significant period, preferably by ultrasound to see if there's any differences. If yiu are taking other supplements, it's quite possible the positive effects are cumulative.
