Hi everyone,

I'll try to resume my history here.. Something like 3 months ago I had a minor trauma during sex and I developed a condition called Sclerosing Lympangitis.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1048386/pdf/brjvendis00078-0137.pdf

As described by most articles as well as by my doctor, it has almost completely resolved now, though I still can see the hard ring during an erection. This situation caused me pain on the first week and after that I was just fine, the erections stronger then ever. The problem is that one month I started feel some pain in my penis, in the left side, 1cm under the glans. The pain seems to be very diffuse and intermittent but sometimes was strong enough to wake me up. The pain is basically when flaccid and my penis shape is normal and fine, same with erections. I google it a little and saw that one of the conditions that can cause pain in penis shaft is Peyronies Disease and I got a little worried about that. In the past two weeks I've been in two urologists and both assured me I have no Peyronies Disease and this might be caused by some subcutaneous irritation/inflammation. I was given ibuprofen and should also do hot compresses twice a day.

Well, the pain still here, but it has improved a little, though I cannot say if this is the ibuprofen effect or a real improvement. In the site of the pain, I can see a raised band with 1cm (or less) of diameter. The aspect is very soft (same consistency of skin) and seems to be before the tunica. The weird is that the region is NOT painful to touch, but sometimes I feel it aching/discomfort. Another thing I've noted is some burning sensation that occurs from time to time.

The place was I've been checked was the Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester NY. They told me they're used to treat Peyronies Disease and see at least 3 to 4 cases a week, so I should relax about it.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if someone has already experienced this before... This this is driving me crazy.

Age: 25.

Best regards,
Raposa

Bands under the glans with diffuse pain as you describe is usually lymphocele aka lymphatic swelling due to trauma. It can take months or even a year to go away and requires rest. Look at it with a flashlight, is it blueish?

If it is Peyronie's that's another story, and I would recommend you see a specialist for Peyronies. From what you describe I personally think immediately that its just lymphocele.

Hi thanks for your reply.

There is no change in color, not at all.
basically is the diffuse pain (which is strong sometimes) and the soft band. The area which is aching is much bigger than the band itself.

Sometimes I feel some prostatitis like symptoms, like burning sensation, very contracted groins, smaller flaccid penis, etc.. I'm pretty sure is is from mental stress, and I'm afraid this is aggravating my symptoms.

Prostatitis symptoms are likely from stressing about the injury.  That's what happened to me and I'm still dealing with it.  Try to relax, I know it's hard.  I also think that injury to the penis makes people especially prone to pelvic muscle tension because the muscles are so strongly related to the penis.  For example, erection causes the muscles to tense, orgasm causes the muscles to spasm.  Tensing the muscles due to an injury is a natural response, which is unfortunate for people like us, whose injuries last a long time.

Yes, I've been trying some stuff to relax, and when it happens I see some improvement on prostatitis like symptoms.
My main doubt is, does this sounds like Peyronies Disease or not? Should I just relax and keep taking ibuprofen and see if it improves or should I do something more?

The region where i feel pain is mainly on the left side between the glans and the circumcision scar, though I feel some discomfort/pain in other places from time to time. In this place I see a small soft band which nearly disappears to light touch. It's been a month now on this thing and I'm really worried. As I said before, the penis shape both flaccid and erect are completely normal, the problem is the pain. The skin in the region also feels more sensitive than the rest of the penis. Is this thing doesn't improve on next 10 days I'll start to look for an expert or maybe a neurologist.

If anyone has experienced something similar please help me!!

If it is lymphangitis or lymphocele, you have to stop having sex/masturbation until it goes away, which can be quite a long time, unfortunately, like NeoV said. It is trauma and it needs time to heal, and even if it isn't that, if you are having pain in your penis, it is still probably some minor trauma that needs a hands off approach to heal. I know this all personally, I have had lymphangitis for a long time and it was only minor, didn't know what it was. went to a few urologists, they said I was totally fine, then one day a year and a half ago I started pressing on this lump and help pressure for a bit, and amazingly, that totally destroyed my penis, it went into an insane inflammatory mode......and it still hasn't gotten better, and I think I'm pretty well f'd. For the first several months even my boxers rubbing on the injured spot would flare it up. Lots of pain, from everything. I could explain this all in much better detail but really it's just a cautionary tale for you to NOT MASTURBATE OR HAVE SEX or press on it or anything until it is healed, which could be a while, but you only get one right. And you don't want your life turning into THIS horrorfest.
