Hi, I'm new to this forum and have been reading through posts trying to get an idea of my future with this disease, but I decided to just introduce myself because I couldn't find everything I was looking for.

I"m 42 and single. I have always had a slight left curvature, but a few months ago noticed a more severe bend. I went to a urologist (not very sympathetic man) who diagnosed me.

I have no pain yet. I use to use drugs and alcohol but stopped and am determined to loose 25 lbs to do everything I can to prevent further damage or to heal this weird curvature.

I have always wanted a family and am really concerned that I won't be able to have intercourse. The doctor told me some men are not bothered by it at all.

Sounds like you have the right attitude! Though I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms.
Your urologist is out of touch with reality, see a specialist.

Pentox, low dose cialis, CoQ10, Acetyl-L-carnitine, traction and VED therapy are the first line of treatment. Read as much as you can and stay positive. I prefer traction personally.

There's no reason why you can't have a family. Stay strong!

You need to keep a log of your symptoms including curvature and monitor for any changes.
