Caverject... reaction?

Not sure whether I'm right to be concerned, or if I'm just being paranoid.

My Urologist decided I needed to have an MRI on my unit, as he's concerned I may be one of a small percentage who has plaques that grow into the penis(?!). I had to have caverject in my wang for the procedure, which resulted in a very painful semi (at best - I don't think I'd even consider myself to have been semi-erect). A week later, my penis is still more tender than it normally would be & the injection site is itching. There's no mark, bruising, or swelling that would indicate an infection of any kind & I don't have a fever.

Is this normal? I should point out that I suffer with Fibromyalgia, so my pain response is a little abnormal. It's the itching at the injection site which I find particularly concerning though...
