Hi Guys

I.ve been diagnosed with Peronies
I've not found it to be painful in itself but lately have been having a terrible time with my left hip which l think could be an extention of the same problem.
l've had xray for osteo (negative) & seen Physio (She thinks l have tendonitus  but l've not had an accident which would be a precursor to tendonitus.

I'm thinking of having a look at ozone or prolotherapy. (same practitioner does both. Trained in USA. Ozone therapy used alot in Europe)
I have a friend who was in line for knee replacement. Prolotherapy saved the day. Google it.

Can you tell us how you was diagnosed and what are your symptoms?
According to the FDA:
QuoteSummarizing the substantial and growing body of study results showing deleterious health effects of breathing ozone, in 1976, and reiterated in 2006, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reflects the scientific consensus that ozone is a toxic gas which has, as yet, no demonstrated safe medical application in specific, adjunctive, or preventive therapy. One possible reason, noted by the FDA, is that in order for ozone to be effective as a germicide, it must be present in a concentration far greater than can be safely tolerated by man or other animals.[7]
QuoteMajor medical insurance policies view prolotherapy as an investigational or experimental therapy with an inconclusive evidence base. Consequently, they currently do not provide coverage for prolotherapy procedures.
The quotes are from Wiki.
I don't understand how both or of of will help with Peyronies.

Hi James

You are correct,
l've worked this out since l made the post.
Thanks for the observation.

l've since concluded that my Peronies could possibly be extention of my Ankalosing spondolitus disease. It can also effect your neck & rib cage.
l've recently learnt that a simple blood test for the presence of the HLA-B27 gene can be an indicator for Ankalosing Spondolitus.
Popular opinion says that a starch free diet can mitigate the inflammatory process. This might work also for Peronies.
The article below is worth a read. (post in your browser)

I had ozone prolotherapy for a rotator cuff injury. It worked like a charm!

On the other hand, it was ungodly painful, even when preceeded with numbing shots. Five sessions; about 16 shots per session; and each shot had to be delivered by working the needle between the various bones of the shoulder at different angles. It is done sitting up, and they have an assistant there to catch you if you pass out, because a lot of people do. (I didn't, but I can see why people do!)

My arm had been next to useless for months, and seemed to be getting worse rather than better. By the time I finished the prolotherapy, I had full movement back, and could even do arm-balances in yoga and lift weights.
