Hi All,

My Dr. has offered me viagra to try. (I experience difficulty in obtaining and maintaining erections.)

Would there be any benefit for me to take it if I'm not sexually active?

Thanks,

NeoV

Drugs like Viagra and Cialis reduce fibrosis, so yes.
I think we all tend to recommend daily low dose Cialis here.

I don't take it because I don't want any side effects, and I luckily don't have problems with ED. The only issues I had with staying hard went away after I stopped clenching my PCs so hard to make my penis hard and also by masturbating less and dropping porn usage. That worked for me, but we are all different.

Ask him for low-dose Cialis instead. Viagra is too fast to be useful for keeping blood in the penis, and also has more side-effects.

emasculated

In low constant dose it's the most healthy thing for the penis imaginable.
Healthy for the body... not so much.. but that's a matter of priorities.

Like emasculated, I'm not a big fan of prescription drugs; there is always a downside.

But low-dose Cialis is, well, low-dose. And it does have some other beneficial effects, including slowing benign prostatic hyperplasia, and lowering blood pressure. (The PDE5 inhibitors were developed as heart medicines, and Cialis is prescribed for pulmonary arterial hypertension. Of course, if you already have low blood pressure, lowering blood pressure wouldn't be a benefit!)

In any case, I haven't noticed any side effects at 2.5 mg daily. I've never tried higher doses. So I've seen definite improvements in my Peyronies Disease, and no obvious drawbacks. If you're not sexually active, then I don't see the point of Viagra. Doesn't really help the blood flow for long, and has a longer side-effect list!

Thank you all for the input. It sounds like Cialis is the way to go for men who are not sexually active like me.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what to do as a treatment plan, so I'll definitely take what you guys have shared into account.

Thanks,
