Hi everyone I'm 24 yeras old guy from Italy. I was born with a congenital curvature very severe, more than 70 degrees, ventral. Of course i need to solve it with a surgery cause it prevented me from having sex (i tried more than one time). I had four surgeries in my F^@$!ng country and right now the situation is a total disaster. The last one made my life impossible to live. It provocated me a chronic inflamtion and i feel pain every day in my life, even if i don t touch my penis at all. If i try to use it, situation becomes dramatic. The penis swells up, stiches start to burn, the same inside my glans and i feel better just after 10-20 hours. And this is not all: the penis now is bent to left about 45 degrees as an angle and i lost sensation not just on the glans but even on the left side of the shaft (if i close my eyes and someone prop a finger on that side i can't feel anything). You probably wonder where the hell I got the surgery, but i went to one of the most known surgeon-urologist of my country. As I said, i had four surgery. I can say i travelled all over my country. And my father is a doctor, so i thought i could find right information without problems. Indeed..by the way fortunately i knew dr. Kuhheas and i had a medical evaluation by him. I don't have much to say or ask, as i have read, Kuehhas is one of the most skillfull souregons in Europe so i think I'm in good hands. Is it true? I wrote this message even to warn about how dangerous could be Nesbit procedure.

Sorry to read about your ordeal with the four surgeries, we are always advising members to find a surgeon that make 100'ts of surgeries per year. Sadly, any of us experienced noncompetitive doctors. One should be very careful regarding the doctor he is choosing.
Regarding Dr. Kuehhas we have just good reports. You can make a search at the home page level and find all the posts regarding him.

Hi,

4 surgeries seems an abuse to solve this condition, even in complex cases. Never forget one thing the best urologist of our country does not mean he is good and experienced treating specifically penile curvatures! Penile cruvature requires a experienced, skilled and knowledgeble Doctor about it! Actually some doctors specialized in Peyronies and congenital curvature also have skills in microsurgery since we are working with small vessels,nerves,... I also though seeing the best urologist of my country would be enough but it was not. He could be good in treating some urologic conditions but not this kind.
I know doctor Kuehhas since i did the surgery with him 1 and half years ago. I do not know if he is the best, but im absolutely sure he is at the top, i would even go further and say worldwide not only Europe, treating specifically congenital curvatures, even complex/biplanar ones. He is rather young (30's? maybe), he is very kind as a person and doctor, very wise, confident in what he is doing, knows a lot about this condition and helped perfecting the STAGE technique (with Dr. Paulo Egydio, a master in his own) that in my humble opinion should be one of the best options treating congenital curvature today. You can count on him thats for sure. From time to time i send him an email saying thanks and he always answers. By the way what he said about it?

Thank you everyone for the answers. You are right. I made the most decisive and important mistake of my life. This is my fault. The fact that my father is a doctor cheated me at all. I thought I could have best informations and I've never even imagined to come to this point. So I've never tried to make some research online in English. Dr. Kuehhas said to me very clearly that the damages are irreversible and all I can do is straight my penis and free it from all the things (stitches and others) remained inside after the surgery. He still thinks I can win my battle and have intercourse feeling pleasure. Maybe he thinks that the sensation I have is sufficient, but I don't think so. I tried many times to have sex and I was not able to feel anything or in the best case almost anything. This is a disaster. I also lost 4 cm in length and I m going to lose maybe 2 cm again. 6 cm less are a lot and I think they prevent most of men from having a sexual life. This is not my most important problem but it is very annoying.

What Dr. Kuehhas has said? Clearing (stitches and others) will not give you back nothing from what you lost?
Why you should lose an other 2 cm?

Removing stitches will allow me to stop feeling pain. Anything more. He said to me clearly to not have many expectations and to understand well how my situation is. He thinks having a straight penis and free of all that stuff can help me a lot. At least psychologically. But nerves damages stay damages and I can't do anything to fix them. I'm going to lose 2cm more cause first of all I still have a bent penis and secondary 'cause removing stitches will need probably some more incision.

Jack,

Your situation sounds extremely traumatic and difficult. I wish I could do something for you to help, but all I can say is that I'm here to talk and we are all at any time. You don't have your solution yet, but just hold on. : ( Keep us updated and feel free to post as many details about this or whatever is on your mind.

NeoV well said 5 stars!  :)
James focus! Be confident. Indeed the nerve damage was the worst of all (maybe in the future there will be nerve damage repair). Do you still have any sensation on the glans or shaft? Now secondly erectile function. If it is good, great. This is very important.
Assuming that you still feel the sutures and they create recurrent inflamation, bulging, etc... they are probably permanent sutures. Or instead of nesbitt they did plication (mmmm probably not). Removing them will help you a lot most probably.
Do you see/feel any irregularities/indentention in the shaft?
Im tottaly sure Dr. Kuehhas will help you. He is very direct and forthright. Expect what should be expected, nothing more, and be confident, he will try to give the best solution. Also remember there is always recovery after a surgery (sometimes we expect fast results, but most of the time it takes time). In my case i had temporary skin irritation/itching/burning, for like 4 months, but after that like new! Better than before actually in all aspects :-) And sexual confidence, well that goes up. I had a biplanar complex curvature, that means 50º ventral, probably 10º left and a very tiny rotation. We all come in diferrent shapes!

Thank you everybody from so many parts of the world.
Thank you Neo for your support.
Keepitstraight the erectile function was critic for more than one year, I can say totally absent, but after that it came back I don t know how and why, almost for miracle, and now I think I could be defined quite good. About sensation..on the glans, I can say it very low but when the doc propped the finger there I could feel he was touching it, but when he moved to the left side of the shaft I couldn't feel almost anything or anything in some points (and that feeling of course terrified me). After that he said 'ok Giacomo this is a clear proof'. On the right side the sensation was better, maybe ok. I can't say it for sure anyway. To evaluate it I asked me to lie down, close my eyes and point them to the roof. This is a good way to evaluate the sensation, he said, cause You can t be supported by the sight. About stitches..If you touch my penis it seems a battlefield. Bumps lumps everywhere. The stitches are all there and the surgeon said to me they were absorbable. I know it going to take a long time. The light over the dark is far.

Did Dr. Kuehhas preform a penile Doppler (papaverine induced)? This is a good way to evaluate erectile function.
Well thats good it came back. Now you still have some sensation, great. Partial numbness (in your case on the left side) means that your left side was afected by the surgeon manipulation/damage to the dorsal neurovascular bundle. Today the manipulation of the neurovascular bundle is rather standard (paraurethral incision), but not in all techniques and not by all doctors. Some techniques/doctors(?) prefer a dorsal approach, others avoid manipulating it,etc...
The question is the manipulation of the neurovascular bundle requires expertise (or art if you will), microsurgery, technique and experience. An expert can manipulate the neurovascular bundle with reasonable ease even if will always be a sensible part to approach and avoid damage. And i can easily give you my example i did not lost any sensation at all! It is like it was, no change at all. Obviously there is always a transitory numbness after surgery but if everything was done with expertise it will go back to normal. Microsurgery enables to detect small nerves and vessels and avoiding them when doing paraurethral incision (this is where the bundle is more nerve and vessel free).
If they are there for an year they most certainly are not absorbable. I think the absorbable sutures will last 6 months at max. At 6 months the tissues of your body are already maturing/re-adapting/re-shaping their matrix process there is no need for more sutures support (this can easily open a discussion why we still use permanent sutures in penile curvature corretion, at least in some cases). Well it can take to an year in some minor cases.
Now be confident, believe in it, there is no way back. I always say to people that today world lacks a bit of faith and i dont mean faith in god (im not religious at all) i mean faith in somehting, anything, an objectif in life, in something, a purpose right!.. Otherwise what are you doing here, filling some space (we are already overcrowded :-)? Now leaving phylosophy aside concentrate on it, gather the faith and purpose, gather the right support, relax and go.

Giacomo de certa forma os nossos países tem alguma proximidade cultural, as vezes até mais que a cultura espanhola. Tive colegas que estudaram em Salerno e Napoli (Erasmus). Forte Abraço.

Jack1909

Thank you keepitstraight
Yes, Kuhheas took that kind of evaluation and said the erection is good.
The surgeon who performed that disaster said to me they were absorbable. I read it also on the medical report you can require and they send you at home. Maybe he lied, I don't know. You are right, past is past and I need to go on and focus on the next step. I think it's true, but I can't leave all the past behind. I mean, what happened to me is more and more and more than I dealt with when I signed the complications paper. There is not mark of complications as the lost of sensation oh the shaft and the chronic pain caused by the stitches on it. This is a thing you can't accept moreover if the surgeon that ruined your life dares also kid you (he said I am crazy). So, yes, I need to get my revenge and at the same time of course I want to solve my problem. But I can't be optimistic, after all what happened I can't be optimistic. I repeat it, until now I had to abandon even masturbations and the pain prevented even from doing the littlest things of the life as do sport and others.  Anyway, I'm here and this is means I want to overcome this sh*t and I think i am in good hands.

Holà amigos!
I want to say to you I m going to be subject to the surgery with dr. Kuehhas in the first or second week of October. Of course I'll keep in touch with you and I will tell you everything about it. Indeed I'd like to say something more about the doctor. I could never imagine I would have found a doctor as him. He is great and despite is a very busy man he always finds some time for you. He has already sent me more than 15 email and our conversation surely will go on in this way. We hsve sent each other at least one email a week and I want to underline how much this would be impossible with most of the doctors I found in my life.

...I appreciate you sharing your story. More than you know. I'm 33, born with not only a 45 degree congenital curvature, and severe hourglass narrowing, but an underdeveloped ventrical. I didn't know crap about what condition this was when I was young. I diagnosed myself with Peyronies. I went to four urologists, and they all corroborated a hasty anecdotal diagnosis: Peyronies Disease. I went to Dr.Gelbard in Burbank, California, who "claimed" he felt scarring. He recommended I get the Nesbit procedure done. In a few months I underwent the surgery. I was 19 years old.
When the healing process concluded, my whole condition worsened. My bend was worse. My circulation was so bad I could not maintain an erection, I was narrower, my hourglass got so bad I lost circulation, I lost feeling entirely, and I had a rock hard scar at my incision site. Meanwhile I have the most beautiful women around me wanting to have sex. I lived at the beach in California where sex is a part of the lifestyle...My life, you could say, ended after that surgery...
Recently I've had an ultrasound done by a reputable urologist at University of Washington. Showed NO SCAR from Peyronies Disease, but an underdeveloped ventricle! It caused a bad bend and bad circulation. The Nesbit just made crap worse!!! I'm sorry you went through that surgery. Worst mistake of my life! I wish you luck with your path. Stay strong!

Jack1909

My expectations for the surgery are very low. What I expect is stop feeling pain removing the stitches and watching my penis again without feeling sick or feeling like throw up as it right now happens. A bent as an angle, unnatural, is a huge shock and not one of those thing you can accept. It's totally different from a natural curvature. These are my expectations. I'd like to come back to masturbate myself freely, nothing more. I don't think I will ever be able to have intercourse or a girlfriend, I mean in the fair way, not with compromise. The sensation right now is too low, and even if Kuehhas thinks I will be able to have a normal sexual life , I'm the only one can understand how much low is my sensation and what I feel.
I'm sorry about your story and for real I can't understand how it's possible ruining a life in this way for a little problem. Maybe your situation was a little more complicated than mine, but it's unacceptable anyway. It's incredible, just because one part of the penis overdeveloped..I lost my life for this BS. And of corse because I found a killer, not a doctor.

Holà! Here we are guys..I booked the surgery for the 20th of September. I'll keep all of you updated. I expect I will able to feel comfortable with myself again, to feel it natural again even removing all the stuff remained inside (I call it 'the battlefield') and stop to feel pain. I don't know if I will ever able to live a normal life 'cause the damages to nerves are very severe and this takes me to think bad (it's a scandalous in 2014 ruining a life for a simply bend). Anyway, I decided for the best I could choose. Kuehhas looks very skillful and is the only one in Europe gone over the traditional Nesbit (that can be very destructive, as I tried). Now or never. A presto!

Jack I also have booked a surgery date with him for the 20th September... maybe he's doing more the one operation, your seeing him in a London private hospital right? He's told me i will be informed on detail about it but haven't received them yet.
Maybe you got in before or something. Anyways good luck!

Jack1909

Hi Stevew! I don't know I don't have details yet..the only thing he told me was 'the surgery itself will not demand an overnight stay' and I can come back home the very next day after the surgery. The person in charge of giving more information about hospitalization, payment, exc. is his assistant Vanessa but she said to me yesterday they are having some problems to have the confirm of the availability for the date arranged by the hospital and she will have some more information next week. I think these difficulties can depend on the fact Kuehhas works in Austria and in England he had to prop to some hospitals where he doesn't work in.
