Which device to go for?

My urologist recommended VED therapy for me a couple of months ago and I am willing to try it out. I am based in the UK and tried to get one for free under NHS but after a few months of correspondence between my GP and urologist that's going nowhere I don't think I meet the criteria for that so I'm about to purchase one. I had an appointment at the hospital with someone who works for a company called Osbon Erecaid and he told me that the device will cost £367 but he can sell it to me in the region of £190. The problem I have with this is that these companies pay big money to get their salespeople into hospitals and sell people like us these devices for maybe a higher price. I'm not sure which ones are good vacuum devices and what good prices are. Can I get some recommendations? I would rather buy something I know people who suffer my condition use and trust.

Holy S**t! Mine cost $89, with free delivery, which is about £52.

Of course, I'm in the US. But, still, the price differential you're talking about is preposterous.

Are they trying to sell you one of the three-cylinder, by-prescription-only systems? You may not need one of those.

UrsusMinor

Old Man tells me that the Osbon you mention is quite expensive here as well. I hope someone over there can steer you to a cheaper device.

But the price disparities are extreme. Here's an Encore device sold on Amazon UK. £209 ($354).

Here is apparently the same device on Amazon US for $125 (£74).

I travel to London a lot, so I'm used to paying a lot more for everything in the UK. But UK Price = 283% US Price seems a little steep, even for London!

I suppose you could order a VED from the US; there are plenty of options over here. But if the UK considers it to be a medical device, you could risk it being seized as an unapproved/unprescribed medical device. On my last visit to London, I was shocked to find that I couldn't purchase cough syrup with any active ingredients without a prescription; standard ingredients here like dextromethophan require an Rx.

I couldn't find a medical grade VED where I am living now.
I bought a manual pump VED that fitted with a fast release button from from a local sex toy shop for $35.
It works perfect, during three years I bought one more because I handle the first one with no care and broke it.
You may want to try it out, at this price you will not lose too much.

Hi TT08,

I bought an Osbon ErecAid Classic from Pharmacy2U for £116.79, in mid May 2014. I have to say this was the best £116 I've spent. After 2 1/2 months of using this VED my Peyronies bend of 45 deg has now reduced to 15 to 20 deg. The only supplement I take is vitamin E.

The ErecAid Classic  is an old design and is probably why the price was so competitive, but it has worked wonders for me, using it for 10-15 mins twice a day.

I am doing the 6 months protocol as recommended in this group, but hope to be cured long before then.

As a word of caution, I only have a soft tissue plaque and my Uro said that this type of Peyronies was most susceptible to VED treatment.

Good luck with your VED treatment.

UrsusMinor

Dapaham, that amount of curvature correction with a VED in such a short time is astonishing! Good for you!

dapaham

Thank you Ursus.
What is more astonishing is that most of this improvement happened within the past two weeks.
To explain... one night I inadvertently overpumped and was so surprised - I dropped the pump. I managed to release the vacuum by disconnecting the plastic tube to the cylinder.
My left corpora, where the Peyronies is, hurt for a short while, but was fine the next morning.
Now I am pumping up to 100% erection and then, for the last few minutes, slightly overpumping until I can feel the left corpora stretching and seeing daily improvement.
My only conclusion is that I have accidentally separated the adhesion in my left corpora (caused by injecting papaverine years ago) and I am now just getting my left corpora to swell in size up to my right side.

For any one else reading this account, please be very careful. I was stupidly lucky!

dapaham:

Yes, you were extremely lucky about overpumping the vacuum presssure. The Osbon Classic VED is not the best one in the world since it has the tube connecting the pump to the cylinder. It does not release the vacuum pressure very quickly either. The main problem with it is that it almost takes three hands to operate it well.

Anyway, you did not do your homework about vacuum therapy either. There are many posts scattered all over the VED board section about using extremely careful vacuum pressure and not to over pump, etc. VED therapy is one where less vacuum pressure is much better than more!

So, now that you have this lesson behind you, just do not pump to full erections with the Peyronies Disease therapy. Use erections and the cock rings with the Classic if you are going for one for sex. And, if you are following the protocol for the one cylinder VED, be careful to observe the cautions and instructions contained in it.

So.... What's the name of this 3 cylinder pump everyone keeps talking about? Anybody got a link? And depending on the price...

What do people think of the AndroVacuum?
Loss of erections since 2014.
Slight bend to left, used to be straight.
8 Hrs of Phallosan Forte daily.
20mg Tadalafil from River Pharmacy daily.
Two unique c*ck rings for maintenance.
Erection quality sufficient for s*x when all used together.

I just sent you a PM a few moments ago. Take a look at my comments back to you there. Then after you have reached a decision about using a VED, then contact me by PM and I can recommend the best VED for you to use.
