Hi all,

Just got my diagnosis a week ago, and my uro prescribed pretty much the consensus on here (pentox, CoQ, Vit E, L-Arginine). One way in which he differed was telling me to take Viagra 25mg 3 days a week. I realize Viagra and Cialis are very similar drugs. What do you guys think about this. Think it makes a difference? Has anyone switched between the two and have any comments?

thanks a lot!

june1.....I have used both Cialis and Viagra, and I would highly recommend the Cialis.  The side effects of Viagra can be very bad from my experience, and Cialis works longer.  Just My Opinion from experience......dplookin

For me Viagra works better for erection and intercourse.
Low dose Cialis together with Pentox will help reversing the Peyronies symptoms.
You have information on the subject in the library.

I've never taken Viagra, and I'd never taken Cialis until now. But I do know that Cialis is longer acting, and also works by a slightly different mechanism than Viagra.

There's an article in the library that discusses this https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,4465.0.html.

If you read the Conclusions section the authors are emphasizing that a single-dose per day of Cialis (tadalafil) is as effective as what they call 'continuous treatment' with Viagra (sidenefil) or Levitra (vardenafil). I'm not sure what 'continuous treatment' means--we'd have to find the original studies they are comparing to. (I suspect it means administration in drinking water.) So I think they are suggesting that if you use Viagra or Levitra, it needs to be more than once a day to be as effective as Cialis.

There's more on the benefits of Cialis here: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3602.0.html

You might want to pass both of these on to your doctor.

Pentox taken with low dose Cialis may soften the plaques

I don't have experience with Cialis yet, but I take 50mg Viagra for ED when required, which works a treat. Additionally I find that the blood flow to my penis is increased for about 36-48 hours or so, as it hangs longer/larger, is warmer in general, and looks much healthier - like it did pre Peyronie's Disease. So if I take it 3 times in a week, it pretty much continuously looks and feels more normal.

Do ask your doctor for his reasoning if you get a chance. I'd be most curious as to why Viagra (shorter acting) and scattered across 3 days a week.

In effect, he is giving you "pulses" of the drug and letting levels drop back to zero for a day or so. I assume he is doing this deliberately. So, how come?

I also vote for cialis. 36 hours duration and much less side effects. If you insurance won't cover cialis, you can get the liquid form from several 'peptide providers' a six month supply at 5 mg per day is like $30. The stuff is legit.

For me viagra 50 mg works great. I have trouble finishing if I have sex more than once a week.

I definitely recommend this to try.Now I got a nice, firm erection that was ready to do battle for at least 4 hours.  I was able to get a coupon to try 3 pills for free

Cialis is the more targeted pde5 inhibitor but Viagra inhibits slightly more pde5. So more side effects from V but stronger erectile effects.

I prefer Levitra to them both personally.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.
