VED in acute phase

I have stopped VED nearly one month moth due to mess up in using it which caused me severe pain. I am on high dose of pain killer. Sometime of the day  pain is so much in flaccid state and mostly no pain at night time! I don't no why. In erection no pain. Good NTE. I think  acute reverted after 3 years. Should I start VED?
