Is it when you get a sudden curvature and slowly try to bring it back straight that causes the shortening? Or lack of erections possibly?

Basically, are there some cases where shortening or extreme shortening doesnt occur?

I am a modest 5.5" when im erect with my GF and i couldnt bear to lose 2" to this condition.  Maybe starting treatment early like i have will make shortening a non factor due to no curvature right now or pain

EDIT:I realized I was measuring wrong this whole time......I thought it was 6.25 and it turns out im justtttt at 5.5"  >:(  Although im still VERY confident in my abilities as a lover right now, I could not imagine falling under 4.5 or so  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

The tunica and other tissue around the plague cant expand like usual.

The tunica is mesh like in two directions. The plagues are chaotic like scars.

Everything other then surgery brings back lenghts/girth most the time.

So even if one does not have pain or curvature, should they still do VED treatment for the future and to keep everything elastic?

Even if regular erections and regular sex are happening?

The answer to your question in my opinion is YES.
VED will prevent those things from happening, together with Pentox and low dose Cialis.
As you don't have ED, 2.5 mg daily Cialis will be fine.

Do you think daily Cialis is still necessary for a Peyronies sufferer who gets regular erections? (such as morning erections, for sex, etc)

I have no ED and would not want to become dependent on Cialis

No, I don't think 2.5 mg Cialis is needed for erections if you don't have ED.
You need it because have evidences that together with Pentox, will help softening the plaques and reverse Peyronies symptoms.

Very mild cases keep the roughly the same length. I think the first factor is the scar tissue / plaque in the tunica itself which over time leads to loss of elasticity in the affected area. Even if it is not calcified. Later it may attack the corpus Cavernosum and corporal fibrosis develops. This also causes shortening. One should keep in mind that these approaches using VED and traction only stretch the tissue which is _not_ scar tissue or plaque. So there will be some diminishing returns with this pretty soon when the healthy tissues can't be stretched further.
