Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you experience this. Where taking anything nitric oxide producing/extending, ends up worsening your peyronie's?

Even citrulline malate makes my peyronie's worse!

And when I say worse, I mean more pain or permanently worsens. Mostly on loss of girth.

I'm also talking about low doses of viagra or cialis, which I haven't taken for a while due to observing this effect. But citrulline malate produces the same negative effects also.

From my understanding of the etiology Peyronie's and healthy penile functioning, I can't see how nitric oxide, viagra or cialis could worsen the disease. In fact, they should help encourage healthy erections while viagra and cialis specifically have anti-fibrotic effects. Is there something else going on? Over-use of traction or VED, a new injury or other medications? Remember that correlation does not equal causation.

Unfortunately, sometimes Peyronie's can get worse for no reason at all despite medications. This is likely due to the genetic component of the disease.

I don't know enough about citrulline malate to comment on it. Perhaps someone else with experience with that can comment.

I agree that is is unlikely these are making your Peyronie's worse.

When I first went to Dr. Larry Lipshuts (Baylor Urloogy, Houston), his initial treatment for all men with Peyronie's is what he calls "triple therapy."  That consists of 25 mg Viagra nightly, 1 gm L-Arginine nightly, and 400 mg Pentoxifylline 3X daily.
