Hello,
I am 46 years old and was just diagnosed with Peyronie's Disease.  I noticed the first signs of curvature about 2 months ago.  I have a curvature to the right of approximately 30 degrees, but no pain or difficulty with erections (yet).  My urological specialist prescribed Pentox 2 x 400 mg, Co Q10 1 x 200 mg, and Carnitine 1 x 500 mg.  He thinks we caught it early in the "active" stage, and he expects to halt the progression and potentially straighten out somewhat.  I have a few questions.
Q1: It appears that others on the site were prescribed either higher doses of Pentox/supplements, or different supplements (L-Arginine) -- is my doctor being aggressive enough with the oral meds?
Q2: At this relatively early stage, do I need to consider any therapy such as VED or traction?
Q3: Are there other steps I should take to improve my chances of treatment success, such as limiting erections / sex?
Thanks for your help.  It's good to know there is such a good support resource available.

The doses seem reasonable to me. I would try these for awhile to see if you have any reaction or sides effects

A big... YES!  Either traction or VED therapy can help to minimize any further advancement. Many doctors have a wait and see approach and many of us on the forum disagree with the. More prominent doctors Lue, Levine, Milam, etc. will encourage VED/traction to help during the active phase.

Blood flow is good for healing. Many of us that have been on the forum for awhile encourage continuing with erections/sex, etc. If your erections are weak you might want to supplement with low doses of Cialis. I would encourage you to stay sexually active, but avoid any further risk of damage by making sure your erections are solid.

I second Lwillisjr,

Having erections is important but only if they are quality. For some of us this actually means having sex less, for others maybe more. Take your time and make sure you are completely aroused to stay hard.

Thank you both for your thoughts and insight.  I appreciate it greatly.

Hi All,
After doing some additional research on VEDs, primarily through this forum, it sounds like the best recommendation is to obtain a 3 cylinder VED.  Is that still the best approach?  And can I purchase one, or do I need to get a prescription for ED?  The VED forum is great, but it is going on 4 years old and clearly things have changed in the market is these 3 cylinder products seem less available than before.

Still for Peyronies the best VED is the 3 cylinders, used with the protocol developed by Old Man.
If you want some clarifications, write a PM to Old Man.
I was adding Cialis to your oral treatment prescribed by your urologist. 2.5 mg if you don't have ED, 5 mg if you have ED.
