Hi All,

I'm very glad that this forum is here, and am glad that I'm free to post on it.

I have noticeable, but mild penile deformity. (I have a bend to the left and some dimples that show up, mid shaft on the right side when my penis is flaccid, and especially when it's cold and flaccid). - (I haven't had a chance to do all of the measurements that this forum suggests yet, but they sound like a good idea.)

The last time I tried to have sex was about 6 years ago, and problems getting an adequate erection made it impossible to have sex.

I'd like to get married some day, but I have quite a bit of fear about whether I'll be able to consummate a marriage or not, given my condition and past history.

Since the failed attempt at sex about 6 years ago, I become a Christian, so premarital sex is off the menu for me. (I'm not here to judge anyone who thinks differently, it's just a personal conviction of mine.)

Basically, there are two things I'm seeking. I don't know if the first is possible to determine, but I believe the second one will be:

1) A test that will determine if my erections are adequate for sex (without actually having sex).

2) Confirmation that I am eligible for a penile implant if necessary. (I know this is last resort, but I just want to do my due diligence and make sure this option is open if all else fails. - I don't want to trap a woman in a sexless marriage. - This is my big fear.)

To be very candid, I am often consumed with deep fear and dread surrounding this issue. I'd really like to resolve this fear of mine and move on to a healthy and productive life.

Thank you.

Did you see an urologist to confirm you have Peyronies? If yes, what is the treatment he proposed you? Same regarding your ED problem.
Regarding:
QuoteA test that will determine if my erections are adequate for sex (without actually having sex).
Masturbation is also out of question for you? If yes, it will be difficult to find out the quality of your erection.
Regarding eligibility to have an implant. If you have a good insurance, it will cover for it if it is for ED, but again, I am back to the point that you must see a Peyronies specialist.
Also you have to try some other treatments before you will think to make an implant.

Cal30,

I sent you a private message.  You will find it in "My Messages" above.  Hope you will find it helpful.

Cal30,

I agree with James that you need to see a specialist to confirm a peyronies diagnosis.  What city do you live in?  I'm sure someone on the forum can recommend a good specialist.  I live in LA.  I see Dr. Martin Gelbard in Burbank and I also see Dr. Tom Lue in SF.

Based on your description of "mild penile deformity" I think you'll have plenty of options for achieving a viable erection.  A specialist can help you figure it all out.

Thanks for all the replies and the private messages as well. I have not been officially diagnosed yet. I want to see a peyronie's specialist. (My experiences with normal urologists have not been as helpful as I would have liked.)

I live in San Jose (close to San Francisco).

Anon, do you recommend Dr. Lue up in SF?

Cal30,

Yes, I most definitely recommend Dr. Lue.  He sees many, many peyronies patients and he always performs ultrasounds.  He has also extensively researched various peyronies treatment protocols.  If you do a simple search for Dr. Tom Lue and peyronies, I'm sure you'll find plenty of information.  You live incredibly close to a notable specialist -- go see him.  Good luck.  Keep us posted.

Your condition sounds similar to mine, which I have had quite a lot of success in treating. No time to post now, but I will reply in more detail as soon as I can.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

Don't waist time, go and see Dr. Lue. As you had been told, he is one of the leading Peyronies specialists.
Let us know what the treatment he had prescribed to you.

Thanks again to all of your for sharing information and encouragement. I've definitely worried about this for long enough. It's time to do something. I'll keep you all posted as my story unfolds.
