Xiaflex will help or not

Not trying to be negative... but people put a lot of hope in Xiaflex. And see what came of that... I personally set zero hopes in science in this case. But if it helps anybody...

I am not a fun of Xiaflex, I expressed many time my opinion in the subject and explained why I am not a fun of this medication.
But, from reading the two links bellow, you will see that helped many.

And to my knowledge no one on this board has had the xiaflex injections since the FDA approval, so the jury is still out.

You are right RoyHobbs, no one had Xiaflex injection on the forum after approval.
I am almost sure that no one had it at all because the insurance companies didn't pay for it yet and to pay alone for one injection  in the range of $7000 (the trial was three) not so easy for something that may help for some.

Actually Dr. Gelbard in Burbank, Ca has treated 6 patients already since approval. All very recent. I'll describe my visit with him yesterday in full shortly. But he was a part of the trials so it makes sense that patients of his would get it faster. Lue told me three weeks ago that he had 30 patients waiting for insurance approval to move forward.

The side effects are on page 16 and the results are on page 26.  That's the best data anyone has.  And, it shows an average 33-35%  (not degree...percent) reduction in curve.  Placebo showed 17-21% reduction in curve.

We have discussed already the small difference between the placebo and Xiaflex.
Have no trial to see how it will work with Verapamil for example and this aggressive stretching that follows the Xiaflex injections.
