I am 47 years old and never knew that something like this even existed until July of this year. I woke up one morning and there it was a hard feeling mass of little bumps and one hard strand that ran down the whole length of my shaft and up into my pelvic region. I had been noticing that it was really hard to reach orgasm even though I was very attracted to my wife. I have been married for 16 years and have intercourse 5 to 7 days a week. I am not aware of any injury to my penis but in 2009 I had back surgery and have titanium rods and screws in my back. After surgery I started having migraine headaches. My doctor put me on beta blockers to prevent the headaches but I didn't take any until January of this year. I took the medication for only 2 months not knowing 6 months later I would wake up to Peyronies Disease and the pain associated with it.
I didn't have a clue as to what was wrong with me and I started researching my symptoms on the internet and was devastated at what I found out.
I made an appointment to see me family physician and he confirmed what I already knew. I ask him how I could get rid of Peyronies Disease and he said you dont. I ask him if there was something he could prescribe and he said no surgery is the only option.
I sank into a deep depression and started trying otc stuff like vitamin E, coQ10, vit D, and L-Carnitine.
After about 1 week of taking the supplements the painful erections started easing up but I have lost over an inch and a half of length and somewhat noticable thickness. One thing that is different from what I have read about other people is the curvature others talk about. I definitely have lost a lot of size and have a really hard time getting an erection and its difficult keeping it. I can't even stay erect with my wife on top.

Darrel- Sorry your here,but search this site and get hold of a vacuum pump. Sounds like you need it for both of therapy and to maintain an erection,also wearing a construction ring.Regards Inkhorn

Darrell,

Sorry as hell to hear your going through this.

Like inkhorn said, you need a VED as soon as possible as use it therapeutically. Maybe you will not need to use rings etc so long as the VED therapy works. Check out the forums, and the VED information and read what others have said about it.
If you like, you can take pentox, the only drug to really be known to work against peyronies.

For both VED and pentox, the standard treatment here, both should be thoroughly checked and understood before being used. Some choose not to use pentox, and the VED needs a good understanding of it's use and extreme caution.
The good news is, both seem to work. And then there are even more treatments after that, traction, injections, etc.

I advise you to check out all aspects of your health, vitamin D blood levels were a big one for me most likely lowering my testosterone and weakening erections. And I'm only 26.

good luck, and use these forums as much as you can!

Just wanted to let you know there is hope and help. I also support use of the VED. The single cylinder exercise is posted in the VED thread. Along with that daily cialis would be helpful also. With your doctors prescription you can go to www.cialis.com and get a coupon for a free months supply.

With the VED and constriction ring you can have sex with your wife. Just do not ware it over 30 minutes.  Do Not stop trying to make love to your wife. There are more ways than intercourse to make love. The largest sex organ you have is your brain.  Just never - ever ever give up.

When all else fails the penile implant works  :) ;) :D ;D :o 8) ::) :P
