Based on your experiences are erections good for improvement? I understand sexual activity and masturbation is out of the question for a few months if you're feeling pain after the initial injury.

In my opinion, erections are always good.
Regarding sexual activity my opinion is that you should not stop.
Others may have different opinion than mine.

Well i sort off agree. AFter i initially injured myself in early june, I masturbated a few times around july 10th/llth of this year and then once or twice every two weeks afterwards(largely because I have impulse control issues but lately i've been better with that) and found that my curve actually became worse.

Getting the curve worst is one of the symptoms that you are still in the acute stage.
It may happen with or without sexual activity.
This is the best time to treat this disease, you have chance to stop the progression and even revers the symptoms.

I believe it is the collective opinion of some of the senior members of this forum that sex/masturbation do not make things worse. If you curve got worse, it means you are in the active phase of the disease. Using a VED or traction might slow down the progression.

Erections strike me as a good thing for the same reasons using a VED is a good thing. But erections and sexual activity aren't identical.

I haven't noticed any correlation between sexual activity and changes in curvature. But I did notice that ejaculation seemed to result in increased pain, inflammation, and hard flaccid--which a few others have reported as well. So I'm taking an 'ejaculation vacation'--I don't avoid erections (indeed, I like having them), but for the moment I am not doing anything with them. This seems to have calmed down a lot of the inflammation, and my flaccid hang has improved.

Of course, my improvement could be entirely from oral supplements plus VED. But it feels to me as if giving things a rest has had good effects: Erections, Yes; Ejaculation, No.

That's just my take on it. People are different, and stages of the disease in the same person can be different. It is wonderful to have a community to ask questions of, but ultimately a lot of your choices will also need to be guided by how your body seems to respond.
