I've read in this forum that cialis is recommended - what is reason for this?

Cialis helps with the blood flow, and blood flow is the key to our problem. Due to the plaque or injury, as the case may be, blood is not allowed to completely fill the penis as it should. That is why you get the curve with Peyronies Disease. One side fills more fully than does the other. Cialis is not a cure, but it sure helps. In my case, it makes my penis hang fuller, I again have nocturnal erections, and erection firmness is improved. I recommend it.  If all you gain is feeling better about yourself, it's worth it.

There is also the study done that showed how low dose daily Cialis reduced or eliminated Peyronies Disease scars in the penis.

My urologist is very positive about daily Cialis, so much so that he joked that they will eventually put it in tap water for men similar to fluoride for our teeth.

He said it helps with Peyronies Disease, blood flow to the penis and reducing the size of your prostate. I will ask him more about this at my follow up in 5 months.

Wish I could take it.  Even at low dose it makes me very sick.

I had very bad side effects (especially excessive sweating and back pain) from Cialis so I started with 2.5mg every second day. During a month the side effects diminished slowly slowly.
Maybe you should give a try in this way.

I also took cialis for several months and did not see any benefit and it made my prostate quite a bit worse !  I don't remember too many positive case reports here on the forum.  So although the Dr's recommend it, don't beat yourself up if you can't tolerate it Hornman

I have been taking cialis for awhile now and dont have side effects and it works well. I like the fact you can take it every day and it will be ready when you are unlike viagra and such when you have to wait 30 mintues.

funnyfarm

I should mention I don't have ED so only speaking from a scar tissue perspective.

Ive tried them all and cialis is top on my list  better than viagra. The 5 mg once a day gives me spontaneous erections which i believe helps with blood flow.

I just started with cialis daily and right away I can tell a difference.Hornier & hanging fuller much like before this damn curve.
I have been taking L-arginine for a couple of months & might try more supplements. So far I am very happy with these results.
Thanks for this forum.

Very interesting.. I'm also curious about it's effect on the prostate... why does this one Dr. praises it? ... and curious also about what 'Funnyfarm' said about it making his prostate quite a bit worse... in what way(s)? I have to admit that I'm very much considering asking for a prescription based on the logic here.. Is Cialis a superior compound, or a time release of the same or similar medicine? I have my appointment with my GP this Wednesday. I hope to get a referral to a Urologist at that time... should I go ahead and ask my GP for the Cialis you think? Greatly appreciate you all and this site!

Cialis has undesirable side effects in some of us.  In my case it was excessive prostate inflammation.  Others get muscle aches and a few even think it caused their Peyronies Disease.   The majority do not seem to have these problems however.

I don't recall anyone saying that the use of Cialis caused Peyronies, but I'm sure there is someone out there who would claim anything and everything. It seems logical to me that one with ED issues would be more susceptible to Peyronies trauma. So the use of a PDE5 inhibitor (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) to keep a firmer erection would help to avoid Peyronies. In addition are the benefits of increased blood flow to the penis.

It is true that muscle aches, vision impairment, nausea are side effects of these drugs. Cialis stays in your system longer 24-26 hours so you are 'ready' over a longer period of time. I'm taking Cialis without any side effects at all.

Just started 5mg per day. Got it from India through river pharmacy in Canada on line. It's working well. Really helps with all day blood flow. No noticeable side effects.

Very interesting... I'm just about convinced that this approach seems to have benefit. I can only imagine that the pump and/or traction would also benefit.. I'd like to give it a try before I take injections..

Just take in consideration that like everything with Peyronies what works for some is not an indication that will work for all.
Personally Cialis helps me, and I think is a good approach to try it with VED or traction before injections.

I really want to try cialis. I'll go try to get some in the next few days. I am however, a bit worried about side effects. In general I don't like taking medications, but I'm already taking Tranilast, and I really want to improve this.. And thank you skunkworks, I really think cialis looks like a good treatment from what studies seem to exist.

I have taken arginine, both in pill form and in many bodybuilding supplements. I always liked the erection improvement, but arginine induced nitric oxide gets down regulated very quickly. There is no evidence that it increases nitric oxide in your body beyond taking it at the first few doses from what I have read. The bodybuilding craze on arginine has basically ended because of this. It's best to take it on and off from my understanding of the current consensus. Even better, I would recommend taking citrulline when you are not taking arginine, though the pathways might be identical I cannot seem to recall. --- feel free to bash me on this if you have counter evidence. I am just saying what I have heard and read regarding arginine. I may be way off the point here, however I have experienced this myself, where starting up arginine supplementation produced nice erections, then after nothing whatsoever even at high doses daily.

I have also taken a testosterone booster, which was filled with a lot of natural stuff I had never heard of. I really liked that effect as well.

For me viagra made erections slightly firmer, but all in all cialis was my choice too due to its half-life. I took it daily for a long period of time and liked the fact that it was always in my system, along with pentox (x3 daily, 8 hours apart).

Im the same as you i never take any medications ever for my whole life now im on alot of different ones theres nothing you can do its just something you need to deal with which sucks. Doing nothing is the worst thing you can do. Too be honest cialis doesnt have alot of side effects... ive been taking it for a while now.

Thanks NORWAY, I do want to start using it.

My Uro, a peyronies specialist here in Tokyo recommended I do not use it because of the price and because of my age, so I did not end up getting any.. I can still go get some any time at an ED clinic right up the street. I figure I'll try it out. : ) I agree doing nothing is the worst in our cases. Thanks and good to know!
