Problems with fitting traction device

Does anyone have any tips on how to fit a traction device successfully with minimal pain? I've read all the literature that came with the device and it is not helpful at all. The device has a rubber band that is supposed to wrap around the shaft just under the head of the penis but it advises you to pull back the foreskin before tightening. This seems impossible for me, the head of my penis is so soft that the rubber just slowly slips over. Fitting the device is so painful i can't bear to wear it for 5 minutes let alone 5 hours. I tried wrapping some bandage to hold back the foreskin but it just rolled back over the bandage.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I've taken part of a Kleenex tissue and wrapped this around my penis just below the glans where the strap is supposed to go. This helps provide some comfort and helps the strap to hold my penis in place. I only pull the strap tight enough to hold things in place, and I adjust the tension rods to only apply moderate tension on my penis.  I am able to wear this for about 2 hours and then I take it off for a 15-20 minute break.

Guys, I went to ebay and got the items I needed. I hope it's OK to post these links:

Foam to put around the glan: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Parts-13-Foam-Tube-Comfort-Foam-Cushion-Replacement-Extender-Accessories-/271098607313?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f1ebc76d1

I use these silicone cups that attach to my leg so I can go out of the house: http://www.ebay.com/sch/egobooster2009/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

This seller also has chest harnesses and bed harnesses. They work great.

I also recommend using a prostate massager for when you masturbate. When I insert the prostate massager during a masturbation session, I bear-down on the device when I ejaculate and I'm able to force liquid out of the prostate. This clears the prostate out and keeps it healthy. I bought the Penimaster, not the pro, and the Vac Extender 3 after reading through a few posts on this forum. I don't know if I am unusual, but my flaccid penis is 2.25" and both my wife and I have found it impossible to put those products on. Are there any suggestions? Or should I just give traction a miss. Is there anything else that might work? Surgery??

LWillisjr

I would definitely try traction before jumping to surgery.

I also went back and read through your posts. No where did you state what your actual symptoms are.  Do you have pain, able to achieve erections, curvature when erect, hour glassing, hinging, etc.

I use a foam comfort pad on the loop. I also use a tissue, I find that without the tissue the damn thing just keeps slowly sliding off...

Noway

i have the same problem mine slips off.

I made a pretty major moderation to my fastsize device, that made fitting it much much much easier. I will post a photo tomorrow.

Hey Left- The device I use came with a strap or surgical tubing. The strap with foam is supposed to be superior, but I use the tubing. I'm not circumcised and the tube works good. BTW-I do not pull back the foreskin. Regards Inkhorn

how do you get it to stay on i have a tube too theres no way in hell it keeps slipping.

inkhorn

Noway- Maybe it is the brand. It's Size Genetics and pretty pricey. After a long time wearing it,it will work it's way loose, but for the first hour and a half, it's good. I just pull it as tight as it can get, set the tension, and usually sit down. Too much moving around can work it loose. I have found that I can not wear it more than an hour and a half though, without taking a rest and massaging it to get the blood flowing. Regards Inkhorn

I have a question about all this as well.  I'm new to traction and using a cheap noose device I ordered from autoextender.  It's working for me to put a little bit of kleenex (or even slightly sticky tape) under the silicone noose, but I do have to pull it pretty tight to stay on.  I'm fine without any protection as well for a couple hours but then it hurts taking it off.  My main concern is that I'm going to deaden the nerves on that ridge the glans (or build up some calluses).  It seems like having sensitive nerve endings there is important for pleasure in sex.  I also get nervous about having to squeeze the noose tightly--doesn't this impede blood flow to the tip of the penis.  That seems like it could cause problems after extended wear.  Any thoughts?  Do the other contraptions that don't use a noose resolve these problems?  I can't afford something else right now, but in the future...  (I can't say I enjoy any of this!  I won't mind if this process lengthens my penis, but it seems better to have a sensitive--and of course straighter--penis than a long one.)

I've recently been looking into vacuum extenders such as the penimaster pro. That would get rid of the issue of painful nooses/straps. Problem is it is quite expensive but judging by the strap type extender I have the moment, it would be worth the extra cash. Does anyone have any experience with the penimaster pro or similar products? I'm on the verge of buying it.

inkhorn

Kac- Your concerns are valid. It has to be the perfect mix to make sure you get the benefit and avoid the damage. Kind of an oxymoron. We need blood flow, but the device shuts that down. That's why after an hour I take it off and massage with cold aloe to get the blood flowing again. Then if I have the time I put it back on again. Regards Inkhorn

KAC,
You don't have to wear the device tight as you don't have to put a lot of tension on yourself. You're not out for penis lengthening, but for Peyronies treatment. You should be stretching your penis, but don't over do it.

And ALWAYs take a break after 2 hours. You should never wear a traction device of this type for more then 2 hours at a time.

KAC, autoextender also sells the VAC3 Extension device which uses tape and a suction cup to provide traction instead of a noose. I used it to modify my Andropenis traction device and it is much more comfortable.

KAC

I appreciate the comments.  I haven't been taking it off every hour, but maybe that's a good rule of thumb. I'm pretty careful and don't think I'm damaging anything, but the design seems questionable to me long term. I can see how the tension of the device could be stretching out the plaques--and it makes sense why that would be helpful, especially now that I've tried it.  But using the rim of the glans for a grip is asking a very delicate place to take some pressure.

I watched various 'how to' videos for the various devices and none of them mentioned concerns about blood flow or nerve damage.

Does traction do any good if it's only a couple hours a day?

I actually ordered the vacuum thing, but that seems to be putting pressure on the circumference of the penis. I had similar questions about it.  It seems like a lot of pressure to leave something like that on for hours.  Same with the tape!  My skin gets tender and a bit irritated--if it weren't my penis, I'd be less concerned!

Anyway.  I don't mean to be negative, but I feel like we should all admit we're not dealing with a medically tested device.  I'm planning to give it one month and then re-evaluate.

Images of modification attached.

Basically I have cut away part of the head piece, so that you can put on the base, then strap yourself into the head piece, and then easily slide it onto the rods and put it under traction.

NB. No responsibility taken if you stuff up the mod and ruin your traction device.

Kac-IN answer to your question, does it do any good using it for just 2 hours a day? I have to say yes. I'm a believer in anything is better than nothing. On average I use it an hour in the AM and an hour in the PM. I have been using it for 3 months, along with some of the other treatments mentioned on the site. I can definitely see it has stretched the flaccid state. I have a 45 to 55% dorsal curve that has at least been stabilized and had a 25 to 30% curve to the right that has gone away. Am I at the stage of the disease that I'm just leveling out? It's not an exact science, but I gotta believe in it. Regards Inkhorn

One of the studies only had people using it 3 hours a day if memory serves, so it'd be odd if 2 hours did nothing.

skunkworks my traction device looks like yours i still dont get it it keeps sliding out like right away...

Not sure how else I can explain it, I have cut pieces of the plastic head piece away, so you can fit yourself into the head piece and strap in, and then put that piece on the rods and start traction, rather than having to strap in while holding the head piece against the traction of the rods/springs.

Unless you have cut large chunks of plastic off the sides of the headpiece of your device, it cannot look like mine does.

Other mod that was suggested elsewhere was to order one of these samples Information Kit | Tempur-Pedic and use it to make a nice padded base on the device.
