Hello

About me:

I am 27yo, brazilian, curvature around 50 degrees to left side, and when I was about 18 or 19yo, I had the surgery done with a doctor (which I prefer to call him as an amateur) and the curvature returned after some months and I lost 1cm.

Today (24/04/2013) I am on my 5th day of recovery of a second surgery, this time with an expert... Under  Dr Paulo H. Egydio's hands, I felt more confidence and courage to do it for a second time.

The recovery didn't change much since the day after the surgery. Taking antibiotics, painkillers and anti-erection medicines. The head is not swollen (only a very small part on the top of it, near where the urine comes out) but if I don't do the stretching exercises it will get swollen (it happened few days ago). So now I do the stretching like 5-7 times a day, for about 1 minute each. It is annoying and even under painkillers it hurts a bit. It is also not comfortable to walk normally because the penis moves around with the movements of my leg (I have to walk ''weird'' so I don't feel anything). I do have some pain (very little) througout the day, but it doesn't bother at all.

It is wrapped with some cloth (I don't know the name in english) and on friday (26/04/2013 - thats a week after surgery) I will remove the wrapping under the shower as the Doctor told me to do (I know it will scare me to look at it, because I have done this type of surgery as I previously mentioned and I know it looks bad).

Tuesday (30/04/2013) I will return to Doctor's Clinic so he can see how things are going.

Will post more information as the time goes and if I remember of something else I forgot to mention.

Thank you! Good luck keep us informed!

Thanks for the report, wish you fast recovery and excellent outcome.
Could you let us know more details regarding the surgery? I read good opinions about Dr. Egydio.

About the surgery....

Pre Op is basically cleaning the genital area with Chlorohex or Riohex 2% two days before the surgery (its a degermant that kills germs and things like that). Have to wash for 10 minutes in the morning and before bed time.

From the day you schedule your surgery, you will have total support from the entire team. All questions will be answered by the secretary (there are a few of them).
Arriving in the hospital, its very simple and fast. All the nurses were great. The surgery team was very OK as well. The surgery lasted 02:30hs, with local anesthesia and sedation.
After the surgery is complete, they got me back in my room, which was very comfortable (space, conditions, infrastructure in general was perfect) and the nurses kept coming from time to time to give me my medications (antibiotics, painkillers). By that time I was still feeling the effects from the sedation (sleepy). My surgery was in the morning (7:30) and I left the same day.
I had to pee either in the toilet or in a bottle they give (I wanted in the toilet), and it was difficult for the urine to come out (probably because of the local anesthesia effecting the organs in the region) so, because of that, I started to sweat, vision started to go black and felt a strong pressure in my ears. Called the nurse and I got back to bed, in the position that helps people about to pass out. It is scary but in less than 1 minute I was very OK. I didn't manage to pee at that time, but they said it is normal, some people feel it some people don't.

Because I couldn't urine at that time, Dr Paulo had to put a probe through my urethra until my bladder, with a gel to help (affliction is the word to describe that) because you have to eliminate the urine. After that I was released and went to my hotel room, which was in front of the hospital (I don't live in São Paulo).

Dr Paulo said everything went 100% perfect and now, have to wait for about 2 months for the healing to be complete. I think I will wait for 3 months before I start my sex life again!

I am sorry but I am not sure about the method, I think it is grafting... but I do know that he used a certain bovine tissue.

When I return to his clinic on 30/04 I will ask him the name in english and let you know.

wkurtka

hmm Dr Egydio and grafting? Doesnt he do the technique described here ACPCT Center - Treatment of Curved and Bent Penis ?

Hello

As I said, I am not sure, was just a guess. I said I will check with him personally tuesday and tell you guys... But if what you said its correct, then its correct! ;)

Newbie3

This morning, in the shower, I removed the wrapping, and it didnt look so bad (at least nothing compared to the first time I had the fail surgery). But its still the beginning of the recovery, so its still fragile. I had troubles to put the bandages again, I am alone and doing it with 2 hands is very difficult. It is not the way the doctor did it, but its there, to protect, I guess...

Back from doctor today, name of his technique is STAGE, as our friend said before!

james1947

What the doctor said regarding your progress?

Everything is going well, and he did some of the stretching he says its needed post op.... The only bad thing is, he does it so strong, it feels like hes taking your penis off from your body. Boy it hurts! He also said that I have to do it like that, everyday for 3 months, few times a day. Nobody have the autocontrol to do it that strong, because it hurts. I will do it all the way I can tho.

I asked about me having some signals for an erection, when walking on the streets and seeing someone hot... (it doesnt get erected but I can feel the blood coming in for it and it hurts, he said its completely normal). And also, since after surgery I have been having erotic dreams almost everyday, and I can feel the pain of the blood coming in again, but the medicines to stop the erection is working. Another thing he said was if it gets erected, there is no problem (despite the pain), but I have to put my penis facing towards my bellybutton and not leave it all curved inside my underwear.

I have just the rest of this week to keep with the bandages on, then wont be necessary anymore.

The head of my penis has started to peel off (natural process, nothing to worry about). He said that I should apply some oil in there and its all good (the kind of oil women love to use on their skin).

I can walk much easier today and much more comfortable now, but it is still a mess when I go to take a piss, it goes everywhere but the toilet LOL.

Newbie3

Soon I will have to take pictures when erected and send to the doctor. Has anyone taken any? I would like to see the results of all sorts of surgery methods...

Newbie3

Starting to have some ''erections''. The shaft doesnt get bigger and hard, but the head does. It also gets ''erected'' when I try to do the stretching... how annoying!

At least, I can see it is straight eventhough it isn't that hard... and the pain while having an erection is less and less.

Newbie3

I am horny as hell and I can't do anything  :'(  >:(

Starting to wonder with who, where, when and how it will be my ''first time'' after this surgery LOL

wkurtka

Did the doctor tell you how much length you would lose? Cos Im going to dr Kuehhas soon for examination of my willy hehe.

Newbie3

I lost 1cm my first surgery. I didn't lose any on this one PLUS I may gain some if the stretching I have been doing is effective enough (for 3 months).

wkurtka

and what stretching force were you advised to put to your penis? Isn't there any fear that stretching may rupture the stitches or tunica albuginea?

Newbie3

there isn't any risk about that. I have to hold my penis by the head, and pull it straight up. He did it on me and said that I have to do it everyday, about 5 times a day, some minutes each, for 3 months. I asked if its safe he said yes, nothing to worry about.

It doesn't hurt anymore the way it was... but it still gives you enough affliction to make you think its pain!
