I know exactly how mine started - first post ever, need advice.

First let me say I have been browsing around the site and feel as though I have found a vast source of knowledge and support, so thank you in advance.

My penis has a mild, non-problematic upwards curvature.  It is not dramatic, but it is most certainly noticeable.  Of all the girls I have been with, only one has outright commented on it, although I am sure they all noticed.  However, I have never had a girl say anything negative to me about it, and had one or two actually say positive things, so psychologically I am just fine with my situation.  However, I would like to look into reducing the curvature, if possible.

I know exactly how this came about.  It is not even a question, it is not even a debate.  I know.  It is distinctly a result of a masturbation habit during my youth. I hit puberty very early and was a chronic bed humper, who knows for how long, months or a year or years, and the results stayed with me.  I could blame this on the fact that no one told me how or what to do at a time when I needed to hear it, but that's neither here nor there.  However, I can tell you that I know it is a direct result of my bed humping, which I would do facedown in a manner that quite obviously curved my penis.  It was never violent, thank god, and therefore the curve is, if you want to look on the bright side, "pleasant", or at least not glaringly strange, albeit abnormal.

Facts about me:

25 yo
can never remember a time when it wasn't like this
Test is fine

Some important sexual health facts that I think are relevant:

- no problems with erections or ejaculation
- no problems with intercourse, although I do struggle staying erect with condoms, although that's probably not related
- no pain
- I do believe I have the dreaded scar tissue on the top of my penis as a result of the curvature. I think I can even feel it upon touch.  My penis is somewhat shortened from it's probable full length due to the curvature, with the short side being the top.

So here is my situation. I know the cause.  I live with this and it is fine, it has little to no impact upon my life whatsoever.  Psychologically I am fine with it, as I stated above, mostly due to the fact that I've never had to explain it and had only 1 outright comment on it.  However, it would be nice to see that curvature reduce, especially if i could get back any of the size at all.

So my questions to you are the following:

what do I start with?  the supplement regiment I have been reading about here?
would you recommend seeing a doctor, given that I have no practical problems as a result of this, it just, well, is?
is it feasible for someone in my situation to obtain a reduction in curvature? if yes would this return any amount of length at all?

and the last and most important:

As i've said probably 5 times already, I have no health/performance issues directly related to this.  But could this develop into something more serious later, even though I've lived my whole adult life with this with no problems?

Thank you all so much.  Just reading the last few hours has been encouraging.

PBS,

I read your declaration of absolute knowledge on how this curve developed but I am far from convinced.  Many teenage boys develop methods of masturbation that are more creative than just  the typical "hand job".  Those few that develop a curve during the maturing during puberty fixate on what they think was their "unique" method of masturbation.  For starters, if you laid on your stomach the underside of your penis would have the most stress placed on it and if you actually damaged it significantly it would have likely resulted in scar tissue on the ventral side resulting in a downward curve.

If you by chance have a congenital curve no drug or supplement will have the least impact on the geometry of your penis. A traction device might have some small effect. the most important thing I can say to you is:  DO NOT DO ANY THING DRASTIC!!!  Stay awy for penis exercise or enlargement sites.  Do not over pump with a VED.  Do not hang weights or use heavy traction.  You are endowed with a functional unique penis that has at least as many benefits as issues.  Mess it up and you will be pleading "If I could only go back to where I was the day I posted on the PDS forum."  It is one thing to develop Peyronies Disease for no known reason, or to have an accident.  It is another whole burden to do it to yourself trying to get a penis that is 3/4 of an inch longer or has a little different shape.

If you want to be sure, and it matters to you then you need a diagnostic duplex ultrasound to detect if there is actual scar tissue.  If there is and it is the result of a normal healed injury (not Peyronies Disease) then again, I doubt any drug or supplement will help it anymore than it will help a scar on your knee.

Oh, and by the way.  If you ever want to swap your penis for another.  This is the place to post.  Almost everyone here will take you up on it if we can find a surgeon to do the surgery.

MattFoley

PBS,

Everything Hawk just said is right on.

I have an unpleasant upward curve but the ED as a result of the plaque that doesn't allow the dorsal vein to fully close is the worst part. Even Viagra, Cialis, or Muse can't fix that.

Like Hawk advised, don't do anything extreme to try and correct a very moderate issue.

Thank you all for the encouraging posts.  I have no intention of trying anything crazy whatsoever.  I guess I should have highlighted my most critical question, which MattFoley touched on:  am I at a greater risk for any of things down the line because of this?  I guess this is the real reason I am posting - do I need to be concerned about this as a future health issue?

As for being unsure as to the cause, most of the information I have found online regarding the type of hbed-umping I did and the resulting curve says that this was the cause.  If I lay down and replicate what I used to do, it seems very clear to me from the motion and the arch of how the penis hits the bed that this is what caused it.  Coupled with the (relatively) mild nature of the curve I am nearly positive.

Also, my understanding from your two posts is that maybe supplements would be a waste of money?

Thank you again.

Hawk

Does even knowing if you are at greater risk help?  Do supplements have ANY hope of helping?  The answers to these questions require a solid diagnosis and evaluation of your curve. Is it congenital?  Is it scar tissue.  How old and stable is it.  Is is Peyronies plaque?

Most of recommended supplements would benefit your general health so they won't hurt and they are found here: MUST READ BEFORE YOU POST - Information for new members - Peyronies Society Forums

I think I would just do a good objective self-evaluation (also discussed in that link) and keep my eye out for increased curve, pain, loss of size.  If your penis does not buckle during sex (which would make it prone to injury) I would just be aware of it but not really concerned.  It sure does not sound like Peyronies Disease.  If you were prone to Peyronies Disease the symptoms would be inclined to advance long after the injury or practice stopped.  If anything,it might indicate you are less prone to Peyronies Disease because most of us could not abuse our penis without setting off a flare-up and it seems you either have congenital curvature or an old injury that just healed with some normal scar tissue.

PBS, this may not be Peyronies Disease as others said.  Is your glans soft or not as firm with erection?  I too can feel what seems like scar tissue on top part of my shaft and my glans is not as engorged and hard with erection anymore after Peyronies Disease.  Would be worth a doc's diagnosis.
