While I'm not delighted to be here in the first place, I am delighted to be able to join others travelling on the same road.  A bit about me:

  • self-diagnosed (with the help of the PDS site) about 2 years ago
  • confirmed by doctor who sympathised, but didn't suggest any action
  • seems to have stabilised re degree of 'bentness' and pain, ie not much if I'm careful
  • no treatment
  • Born 1961, married with two sons
  • Wife has been great, always checks if anything's painful when there's 'lurve' in the air

I've been getting on with things over the past few years and haven't thought about it too much, particularly after the initial few months of coming to terms with it all.

That said, I'm as keen as the next (bent) man to take advantage of any corrective treatment that is developed, although not particularly surgery or putting lots of drugs into my body.

I'm also happy to help out if I can.

Hi James, been away for a while.

I think my condition is fairly regular from what I've read.  Loss of length, and probably girth as well, but I haven't been measuring. No noticeable ED, assuming that is erectile dysfunction. There was pain for the first six or nine months when getting an erection.  Can feel the calcified bits running the length along the top.

Thanks for your interest.

I was proposing you to start some treatment, not too much med's as you say, but some supplements like Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Ubiquinol, L-Arginine and Pentox (prescription med) will help with not letting the disease to progress.
