Getting worse

I was really dissapointed this morning to wake up to an erection that was not only bent at about 45 degrees but now also seems to be turning towards the curve.  I thought I was getting better only to discover I am getting worse.  I have doing the traction 2 hours a day and taking pentox and L-Arginine.  I am very confused right now and don't know what to do.  Any ideas or support would be helpful.

I am afraid I can't offer a great deal of advice but merely offer my sympathy, since I am in a similar situation. I'm throwing everything at this and yet it just seems to keep getting worse. I have another appointment with the urologist in about 10 days, so I'm hoping he can tell me something positive because personally I'm struggling to see how this will ever be right.

Are there any steps you could be taking to improve your overall health, such as exercise and diet etc? I don't know how long you've had this but it feels like Peyronies is a war that has to be fought on all fronts.

panther, let me start off by agreeing with what my good friend ashtown is saying about diet and exercise. It's vital. Peyronie's is such a huge mystery that not even doctors know what the heck is going on. They don't know what brings it on, why it gets worse, why it gets better, etc. There is no drug that is FDA approved for Peyronie's, including Pentox. Urologists just start throwing stuff at it in hopes that it will help.

Having said that, Peyronie's will get better and/or worse and go back in forth in some cases. You're 54 years old, and you NEED to get your testosterone checked. Testosterone is critical to so much of a man's life including healing. At 54, you may be crashing so please get it checked and perhaps testosterone replacement therapy is right for you. Just like it was right for me.

You need a good Peyronie's urologist. You need to have them ultra-sound and x-ray your penis so the enemy can be clearly identified. Do you have a health plan that can cover the cost? If not, perhaps you qualify for a state-based health plan that will cover the cost.

In addition, I may be able to give you some suggestions if you will answer the following:

1) How tall are you?

2) How much do you weigh?

3) Do you have the following info? Testosterone Free, Testosterone Total, Thyroid Panels (T3, T4, TSH), IGF-1, CMP Profile, Lipid Profile, CBC w/Diff profile, PSA, C-Reactive Protein levels? (I'm guessing no, but if you can get them, that would go along way to making sure you're where you need to be)

4) Are you exercising?

5) Are you stretching your penis cautiously or too hard?

6) What kind of a diet are you on?

7) How much protein do you eat?

8 ) What kind of supplements are you taking?

And, yes, the Bathmate VED is a good choice because I believe that the water helps penetrate and radiate warmth into the penis more effectively giving a stronger and safer pumping session.

Got Testosterone?

panther

Matt,
Thank you so much for the support. I really feel like I am on an island with this.  I am currently taking testosterone injections every two weeks to get my levels back up.  I started doing that this past fall after I had no energy at all.  They do seem to be helping.  My doctor ran blood test on me before he prescribed the testosterone.  He said all of my other levels were fine but my t-level was very very low.  I do exercise at least twice a week.  I am 5-10 and weigh 185.  My blood pressure is always good.  I do have epilepsy and have battled with that since college.  I am the proud father of two sons that are now in college. I just was looking to getting back to a normal sex life with my wife and then this happens to me.  I know I am very blessed and that a lot of people have more problems than I do.

panther, it's my pleasure.

I wasn't just guessing about the low testosterone. In my research I'm finding a common link between cases of Peyronie's and low-t.

Your height and weight are great and your exercising can do nothing but help.

How's your libido? Are you able to maintain an adequate erection? Do you need Cialis, etc.? Are you noticing venous leakage?

What about supplements?

If you are looking for supplements to blast your libido and sexual performance and your work out routine, check out what I've been taking in my intro post.
