I was diagnosed with Peyronies in 1999. It started with a slight bend to the left. Not sure when it actually started but my wife noticed it at first. I watched it get worse and then went to the doctor. Did the vitamin E thing to no avail and then topical Verapamil witch did seem to help but was very expensive. Well here it is 2012 and now the bend is only slight but have lost length and girth. Wife says it is fine with her so makes life a lot easier. I'm here if anyone wants to talk about my experience.

Glad to hear you had success with verapamil.  I have heard positive experiences elsewhere but it (both topical and injectable) is highly frowned upon in this forum.  Do you recall the doctor the prescribed it ?  Thanks.

I'm curious as to why topical verapamil is frowned upon when if we look at this:

It's pretty clear that it does have some effect when combined with trifluoperazine and topically applied magnesium sulfate.

If someone have time, can try to concentrate all the positive and negative posts regarding Topical Verapamil. Unfortunately I have Internet now just if I am going to a bar, cafe or restaurant where have WiFi (for a while, until I will get connected in my new place where I am living now) so I can't do it.

I wasn't able to find anything about the topical Verapamil used along side the other topical drugs mentioned in the study so I really am curious as to what the heck is up with this?

Anyone else have a clue?

I don't know why topical Verapamil is frowned upon. The Rx was written by a Doctor of urology at a major University Hospital that my Doctor sent me to. I had it mixed by a pharmacist. Not sure what all was in it but worked for me. I no longer use it or any other Rx for the Peyronies. I do use a cock ring to maintain erections but that is more of an age thing.

I don't know what the deal is with the topical verapamil issue but I intended on investigating this matter. I would start by asking you to please, please check with the pharmacist who mixed it and find out exactly what the ingredients are, the exact mixing ratios, and anything else that can be used to duplicate the process. If you still have a tube of this stuff, see what info is on it. A phone number, ingredient list, anything.

I really want to explore this as an option and since I'm seeing my Peyronie's urologist latter this month for the first time, I sure would like to have the formula in hand when I tell him this is what I want to try before he even thinks about suggesting he cut into my penis.

Can you please check into this and get back to us on it? I would greatly appreciate it.
