Hi everyone

I am new here and I really need some help/advice. Here is my story. 29 years old, good health. About 6 months ago got injured during sex, was a little bit painful, but did not pay much attention and kept boing for another hour or so. Within 24 hours noticed small bruising on the shaft, freaked out, but in couple of days it was gone. Since then noticed that my penis would hang to the left when flaccid. In about 4 months after accident went to see a doctor, he told me he could not feel any lumps and sent me home with Vitamin E. my symptoms: huge swollen dorsal vein, curve only when semi-erect, new little curve to the left that is hardly noticeable 5-10 degrees when ere t, pain when flaccid for the last two months (i was looking for the lump everyday, massaging left side and could irritated vein), no pain during sex or when hard, if i don't masturbate or don't have sex pain goes away. Recently new symptom hard cord on the shaft on the left side, but with closer look it looks like vein there is hard and swollen/painful. not sure about penis length but it looks like maybe 1 or 1/2 shorter. Will have one more visit to uro on Monday and will ask to do scans.... Two months ago started taking Vit e, L Arginine. Now added Nattokinase, Vitalzym, doing heat therapy and vitamin e oil massages... Erections are strong. Don't know what to do. It looks like people here have way more experience that most doctors do. What do you think about my symptoms?

Welcome to the forum.
It is important that the uro will confirm that you have Peyronies, the cord you are talking about may be vein, may be scar tissue.
The uro can make you an ultrasound in flaccid and tell you if it is Peyronies.
If it is Peyronies, you have to begin treatment it as soon as you can, in early stages is more easy to stop the progression and even to revers it.
I don't believe that the massage with vitamin E will help.
My daily treatment is:
3*400mg Pentox (Trental), if too much side effects 2*400mg.
4mg Cialis (cutting the 20mg in 4 pcs)
2*500mg Acetyl L-Carnitine will increase soon to 3*500mg
2*1000mg L-Arginine
3*100mg Ubiquinol, ( if younger than 40 may use 3*100mg CoQ10, much cheaper)
VED, 20 minutes
With his treatment (like all the others except surgery) you can expect improvements after six months or more, some people have faster improvement. Consistency is the key of this treatment.
I will advise you also to read the forum to understand what and how the above medications/supplements are helping with Peyronies.

James,

Thank you so much for your help and support. It looks like after heat therapy i don't feel any pain today. I experienced pain for the last two months but I suspect I irritated veins with massages. I will have ultrasound on monday and will now for sure what it is. I have couple more questions, is there a difference between scar after injury and Pyrenees scar.... ? in other words, does penile injury always lead to Pyrenees? Also regarding scar or plaque, how does it feel, is it very hard?

Thank you

Hawk

Injury of the penis does not always lead to scar tissue and every injury that causes scar tissue does not result in Peyronies Disease.  Any scar tissue can deform the penis to some extent because scar tissue is not flexible and normal penis tissue is VERY flexible.  Think of putting tape on a balloon then blowing it up.  It will bend toward the non expanding tape.

Peyronies Disease is a progressive immune disorder where you can injure a small spot (or even have no injury), and scar tissue starts to spread not only over that area but to over-run and replace healthy tissue far from the original site.  There are similar hyper tropic scarring with keloids on the skin, and adhesion that grow between internal organs and bind them together (often triggered just by moving organs during surgery.)

Hawk,

Thanx for good explanation, and thank you for spending time explaining it.... One more question, regarding scar or plaque, how does it feel, is it very hard? How do I find it?
Sorry for too many questions, I am just freaked out and basically don't know what to expect when i'll get diagnosed.

Thank you

Ibah,

The best way a doctor showed me was to place your tumb and index finger on each side of your penis starting at the base. So essentially you are going to squeeze your penis slightly between your thumb and forefinger at the base. And gently slide your fingers along the shaft and feel for any abnormalities in the tunica. Your tunica should feel smooth. Just don't get confused by feeling the internal structure of your penis (corpora chambers, venis, tissue, urethra, etc.

If you don't have plaque then you don't know what you are looking for. It wasn't easy for me to find at first and I did have it.

You could alsojust have some inflammation that is taking a while to heal up. Best advice would be take it easy for awhile, no rough sex, and to monitor yourself closely for any changes in pain level or erection shape.
