Whatsup everyone.

I've been surfing around the site without an account, and decided I would register and post my story. At such a young age, having a girlfriend, and added stress from uni, I've been put into a state of withdrawal questioning how my life will even end up. So here's a quick description of my story, it's weird and sometimes graphic but the only way to understand:

I found a way of pleasure through rubbing my penis on the floor at about age 8. I continued to do this, however from around 12 through till i was about late 16 was my most prominent use of this as a form of "masturbating". The problem is that this would place my penis in the bottom right while lying on the floor and putting immense pressure on it (known as "traumatic masturbatory syndrome" or something rather. When I realized how wrong this was I attempted to masturbate the normal way and had problems such as tight foreskin, which I overcame, and I am currently suffering from a tight frenulum, but atleast that's curable. Anyways, during that time I declined any attempts of sexual intercourse or intimacy besides kissing/making out. Now I recently found what I believe to be my true love, she cares about me and what I do. She is 16 and a virgin like me. We haven't been going out for long, however the topic of sex came up and she wants to wait 6months. I then began realizing what was wrong with my penis, it is curved to the right at probably around 30 or more degrees when held straight like this _(_. I can straighten it out forcefully to about 15degrees however the erections softens and disappears immediately. I can however bend it right all the way, even to touch my pelvis. When flaccid and erect the penis is also slightly twisted counter clockwise, however I can temporarily correct this by twisting it the other way. When erect and left untouched it points probably at about 45 degrees however the curve is much less apparent, until i twist it back to be straight. I rarely get random erections (nocturnal neither daytime) however the past few days there has been some occurrences out of the blue. Other than that I think my penis does not have any actual problems ejaculating or such. I am going to a private urologist on Thursday, and have not told any family members as i am too embarrassed. On thursday I'm also going to tell my bestfriend who is a girl as she is the only one I feel comfortable to. My questions are what should I attempt to do in order to correct curvature as much as possible? I've read about VED's being very successful. Would intercourse be possible? and if any advice, how should I go about telling my girlfriend? I'm alone, I feel like life is pointless, like I won't enjoy it to the fullest. I hate this, and I really don't want my girlfriend to leave me as she's the only thing that I care about and is what keeps me happy.

Thanks for any help.

Hawk

PTH,

First and foremost.  One difficulty of youth is that of perspective.  Because life experiences are relatively few, problems seem insurmountable. Since you have never worked past issues like this and likely know no one that has, you can't imagine a good outcome.  As we have the chance to actually see problems solved, and other problems adapted to, and still others endured, we realize that few things are as bad as they first seem.  There is nothing that is likely to happen to a 17 year old that could make life empty and hopeless.  Life is working past these issues.  I the words of on famous MS patient, "life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful".

The next step, is a through evaluation by a SKILLED urologist or or even better, a sexual dysfunction doctor so you have a clear understanding of what you are dealing with.  Until you get that there is no way to guess the best course of action.  It is possible you have congenital curvature, some static scar tissue from an injury, some other condition, or even some slight chance you have Peyronies Disease.

Think positively, get your evaluation and let us know the outcome.

Best wishes

Hawk.

Please don't try and bend your penis whilst erect.  This will do more damage.  Please give us an update after you have seen your urologist.

Hey all, I really do appreciate you guys actually listening, it feels good to know I can talk about this without feeling embarrassed. And Hawk your words did help me realize people have been in far worse situation yet they have came out of it, but it still is daunting to know I may live the rest of my life in fear of judgement from my future sexual partners. Anyways through studying about the penis and probably researching about it more than I have anything in my school life, I have come to realize my right cavernosum does not actually fill with blood as my left does, I am thinking this may be the cause of the curvature and loss of erection when straightened or not stimulated. This may have been damage resulting from my form of masturbating, which did place my whole body weights pressure on my penis and only allowed it to become semi erect, I believe this may have interupted or caused abnormal growth of that side of the penis. I also do 100% know that their is something slightly harder then the rest of my penises tissue, located in the bottom right of my shaft (the right cavernosum). I believe this is stopping it from filling, and definitely know it is causing it to be less flexible and not straightened (also may be the cause of loosing erections quickly when not stimulated?) I went to my appointment today, and she basically had me explain everything to her. I also took photos of my erect penis and showed them to her. She described the curve as a "subtle/slight bend" , however I know it is more than just that and it does look different in the photos due to the angle they were taking on. But she did agree that the right side of my caveronsum is "slightly noticable that it does not fill as much as the left". Her examination was literally: sit me down, pull the foreskin back just past the head, look at it, feel if the testes were okay, press my pelvic bone and then finish. She believes I do not have peyronies however, I KNOW that the bottom right of my shaft feels alot harder than the rest of my penis, and am quite convinced it is scar tissue resulting from my form of masturbating. She gave me viagra, cialis and levetra in order to see if the right side would maybe fill up a little more and also to counter the loss of erection. She then gave me a referral  to their head doctor in male sexual dysfunctions for a 2nd opinion and I have got an appointment booked for the 27th of september. I am happy I left their being told by her that I would probably be able to have intercourse normally, and it did lift my spirit. However the fact she did not examine me properly or listen really annoys me because I know something is wrong, I guess I'll just wait till the 27th. Anything I can do in the meantime about the bend? I still get down at the fact I'll never have a normal looking penis and will always be in fear of judgement when entering sexual intercourse, and to top it off the one girl I know who wouldn't judge me for it if we had sex,  is currently in a fight with me. Should I face the embarrassment and tell one of my parents? Thanks for listening everyone, I really don't know how I would have dealt with this if I didn't find this forum.

It may be right that the doctor did not make a comprehensive test (at least not ultrasound to see if have some plaque in the place you are stating that have), form the other side is good that you have an appointment with the head doctor for second opinion. 27 September is not far away.
Regarding penis shape, they come in differed shapes naturally, and I don't think you should be so worried about it. If you have an opportunity, try out the medications she gave you.
Regarding your parents, it depends very much how open relations you have with them (this my opinion). If it was me, I would talk with them openly.

I am proposing that in the mean time until your appointment, read as much as you can on the forum to get knowledge in the subject.
It will help in your next appointment.

I think your curve could still be congenital. I really don't think your form of masturbation caused you to grow improperly. You would have to strap your penis down 24x7 when you were maturing in order to impact it in some way.

Your choice of telling your parents is up to you and what you are comfortable with.

Hi all,

Peyronie's 'plaque' as it is commonly referred to, is also known as scar tissue. This plaque is caused by 2-reasons. One, is hereditary and can be a family issue running down the line of men. This can happen from birth or come on at any age. Scenario two, is from trauma to the penis, causing the curvature and scar tissue lump. Most commonly from intercourse or something as specified below.

When the blood cells expand the scar tissue area prevents these cells from properly expanding, causing curvature. An easy to understand example is to picture a long narrow balloon. If you pinch a part of the balloon during blowing it up, it will begin to curve.

There are many new studies coming out regarding oral regimens that can assist your body in dissolving this plaque or scar tissue fibrin. I think the future is here for Peyronie's sufferer's to begin to have hope.  :)

Hey everyone, I know I'm not as frequent on this forum as I'd like to be due to uni/girlfriend/friends and work, but I try as much as possible. Anyways I spent the weekend at my girlfriends and we got pretty initmate, and over the past week I've been studying my penis as much as possible to see exactly what my problem is before my appointment on the 27th. I'll explain what I've found and hopefully any of you could help.

To begin, over the weekend me and my girlfriend got intimate and "dry humped" a few nights. After this I noticed my penis had been alot "fuller" as well as bigger when flaccid and the veins were much more visible than they had ever been before. However the downside to this is that the curve seemed to have gotten a worse for some unknown reason? Does anyone know why this could have happened?

Anyways these are my findings about my penises current state:

-I noticed that when flaccid my penis does have some sort of a curve to the right, however if I'm wearing tight briefs and leave it to rest to the left throughout the day, the curve does disappear, however upon letting it 'free" the curve slowly comes back.
-It is also twisted anti-clockwise both when erect and flaccid, i have a feeling this is causes more "curvature". However I can twist it back to be straight without any pain or discomfort before i let go and it twists back again.
-The loss of flexibility seems to be coming from the bottom right of my shaft, while the curve becomes much more dramatic at about the halfway point up the shaft.
-The right side of my penis is definitely smaller than the left and I believe this is also adding to the curved appearance.

The following are what I deem to be important factors in determining the problem:
-When erect and left untouched the curve is much less apparent, however it points to about 40 degrees to the right and is twisted anticlockwise, giving it a very unusual look.
-When I hold it straight and twist it back so it is normal. The curve is much more noticeable and curves at around 35 degrees.
-I can straighten it with both hands, however it causes me to loose an erection immediately(may simply be due to the fact I'm not stimulating arousal?) and also requires constant holding to keep it straight (its not easy to keep it straight). Then if i pull the foreskin down while holding it straight, it causes it to curve again. *This I find is important because I have been told, those with peyronies could NOT straighten their penis at all, or is it just that I have scar tissue in a area not as affecting?*
-When flaccid if I grab the head and pull it to the left (while keeping it straight), the curve reduces temporarily before gradually appearing again.
-The curve is much more apparent when erect.

The last thing, is that my frenulum is actually attached the left side of my penis head? isn't it meant to be attatched to the very middle of the penis head? I question that this may also be causing the right side to curve as it is not getting proper flexibility.

I really wish a solution came to this problem, my girlfriend and me are already so close and I highly doubt she'll stay with me once finding this out. I don't even know how I'll come to tell her. It really sucks knowing I'm going to have to live life at 17 with a problem like this. Thanks to everyone on this forum, and everyone who pm's me. Knowing theres people there to listen really does make living with it a little lighter.

I have just two comments to your post:
1. In my opinion you are spending too much energy in analysing your penis in flaccid state.
2. Do not try to straiten your penis when erected!!! You may do more damage!!!

You have stated in your previous post that you have an appointment with the department head on September 27. It is just two weeks and you will be able to ask the important questions if you will concentrate on them.

PTH,

I was thinking the same thing a James before I read his post.  It is good to have a complete self-evaluation of your penis with objective measurements of length, girth, angle, maybe photos and plaque size and location before going to a doctor.  Obsessing will drive you nuts.  Also, you need to cover the important issues.  Forget all the flaccid stuff.  It explains nothing, no one cares what a flaccid penis does or looks like since there are so many varying, transitional stages of flaccid that it just muddles and confuses the issue.

It is important that you cover the major concerns during our appointment.  Write them down on an index card if need be.  If you get too far afield it won't go well.  The doctor will end the appointment before you get to the important stuff or he may conclude "here is a 17 year old just obsessing and imagining he has a problem because his penis is not perfectly round and straight".

Go to your appointment calm, serious, and focused on the significant issues, especially the ones you can show in person or through photos that accurately present the symptom.

Although your last post was difficult to follow it seems to me these are the issues
1. You either have a 40 degree curve or your penis tilts at a 40 degree angle
2. One chamber seems to not fill and round out the penis
3. your frenulum is actually attached the left side of your glans (which is only important to the degree it could relate to 1 & 2)

This statement tells me you are doing a lot of negative self talk.  It also tells me that you have little confidence in your ability to interest a female in your personality, talents and abilities.  I am not trying to be old fashioned here but you seem to count on your penis to interest women.  A woman can buy a perfect life-like penis for $75.00 that has 3 vibrating speeds, g-spot and clitoris simulators, and a simultaneous anal probe.  You are not offering a woman a dick that just happens to have a tolerable life support system attached to it.  Your job is to build a person that is so much fun, so interesting, so supportive, that knows how to build so much intimacy, that she wants to be with you even if you had no dick.  Your job is to build a man than happens to have a dick, not a dick with a man attached.  If you follow the path of building a person and you run into some shallow female that never built a woman to go along with her vagina then DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.  Because, After you are done having sex a couple yours a day you will have 22 hours of hell and before long that will kill all the shallow sex anyway.

I liked especially the two sentences by Hawk:

QuoteYou are not offering a woman a dick that just happens to have a tolerable life support system attached to it.
&
QuoteYour job is to build a man than happens to have a dick, not a dick with a man attached.

I agree with James, especially the two quotes of yours he he used!

I have one from an ex-wife that I will remember till the day I die:  "I am not a life support system for my vagina!"
My best man just looked at her and said, "That's good, or you'd die!"

My point is....your penis is not the center around which the universe circles!   Be happy with YOURSELF; that will make her happy.  Don't sweat the small stuff!"  (Sorry if that seems insulting.)  :)

I WILL SAY IT ONCE MORE.  DO NOT TRY AND FORCE YOUR PENIS STRAIGHT WITH 2 HANDS.  MANY OF THE GUYS GOT THIS DISEASE FROM DAMAGING THEIR PENIS BENDING IT WHILST HAVING SEX.  YOU WILL ONLY DO MORE DAMAGE.

Jjreal

Hey man I'm 16 and I have a similar issue on the left side but I think it's from a football injury. It dosent curve but I have an hourglass deformity and am in a lot if pain. I feel like this is pretty common among teens because we all do stupid things with our penises. Hope you get laid goodluck

inkhorn

Hawk and James- Well said.-PT, if you decide to talk to your parents, that's cool. The whole floor masturbation exercise may or may or may not be the cause. We don't know. So go easy on yourself, everything will be ok. See the doc on the 27th and take it from there.Regards Inkhorn

Jjreal

Hey Ryan I'm 16 and got mine after getting hit in the penis during football practice, then I think I made it worse by overmasturbating and stressing over the changes that were happening down there. I was suicidal many times and had even planned out how iwas going to do it. But everyone is right the best thing you can do is just leave it alone. Even when it hurts and you just want to check on it and try and masturbate to see of its curving yet it's stressful and consumes the mind fully. And because we are young I know it's even scarier, we haven't gotten to start a family yet and have an active sex life and all these things we need our penises to do. But please just don't touch yourself, take vitamin d, try to get pentox. Don't worry so much about what your flaccid looks like. And if you're not in pain your very lucky because I had constant pain for about two months and it was probably the lowest point in my life. But good luck just wanted you to know your not the only guy our age with this problem

NeoV

Wise words Jjreal.

I've had peyronies symptoms since I was 18, didn't actually fully take off until 2 years ago.
I completely agree with you, the checking and masturbating just is not good when this is going on. It needs time to heal.
