Hi,

I'm a complete newbie here. I haven't been officially[eg. professionally] diagnosed with Peyronie's, but I seem to have numerous signs pointing to that direction. I had a psoriasis outbreak, and I was also kicked in the groin area in middle school. It was pretty rough for me around 13-14 years old, I was very stressed out. Since I was 14 years old[I'm 19 this year], I had this curvature in my erection, and it is also somewhat noticeable in a state of flaccidity as well these days. I also have an anti-clockwise twist at my penile base as well. I seem to have lost some length, have erectile problems, weak ejaculation, possibly retrograde ejaculation, etc. I have a friend who's training to be a nurse and I also have some more 'irrelevant' symptoms to Peyronie's(weakness, tiredness, erectile problems, etc.), but are possible indications of Low T, so I'm not sure if there's any connection, or I just might be unlucky with the two problems. However, I try not to self-diagnose.

Anyways, I haven't really spoken to anyone about it because it's embarrassing and I'm kind of reserved so its not something I usually talk about. I don't have insurance so I'm not sure if it would be possible for me to see a doctor, and I've never been to a health center before and I'm not sure if they would be able to do anything. The people who I have mentioned it to tell me it's fine, nothing wrong, it's natural, etc. Unfortunately it doesn't feel (and I assume it isn't) natural, and I feel very down and out when it comes to finding some kind of help. I've been sitting here for a few minutes pondering if I should press the 'post' button, or just brush the entire thing off. Anyways, thanks everyone for taking the time to read my post. I'm not sure how proactive I'll be on here, but I will definitely have a look around.

Thanks :)

First I would like to say that what you are detailing sounds Peyronies, but can't be 100% sure without a diagnosis.
As you are saying that you have this situation for about 5 years, I would advice you to read the forum to understand better this disease and what can be done in the subject.
You made the right thing to push the post button, it was very difficult for me also for the first few times even I am much much older than you. This forum is a support forum of Peyronies sufferers, some with very good knowledge and even they found solution for they Peyronies are still with us to help others.
Feel free to post any questions or any thing on your mind.

Welcome to the forum and best wishes :)

Marchantgrove:

So brave you are!  It took me weeks of reading here before I actually even thought about pressing 'post'.  Guess I'm just old fraidy cat!  lol.

All I can say is:  "don't be scared; they won't off your penis!"

And believe in yourself as the strong man you are,  It takes major strength to come here on your own!

Thank you, James and Blueturf for your responses. As I've already mentioned, I don't come onto internet forums often, and I haven't been on since I last posted. But I have time tonight, so I'm going ahead and going to take a look through the website, and read some of the commentary.

I suppose my sentiments aren't so much 'scared' and 'fearful' as it is annoyed and awkward. Talking about these things to medical professionals however can be uncomfortable, after getting most of my 'body talk' from my own generational peers, and lack of conversation with my parents[they are in their 60s, and they are rather old fashioned and reserved.] -- through cultural gags, slang, and myth. Sometimes I feel awkward or stupid talking about this kind of stuff. Obviously I'm not, but fact and feeling are at odds with each other in this situation. Luckily, despite being 18 I'm still very much going through puberty[I'm still getting growth spurts, I was 5'9" at the New Year, and I am now 5'10". My Pediatrician predicted my height to be around 6'2"]. I have started noticing a few more problematic issues with the general area regarding my penis, namely a weak penile base during erection. It almost feels like I have a torn or stretched(loose) ligament or tendon.

I appreciate the replies, and I look forward to doing some more research, and eventually finding a doctor to get me in the right direction.
