Living with Peyronies

I'm 54 and was diagnosed over 4 years ago with Peyronies. I developed a 45 degree bend just below the head of my penis in a very short time period. Intercourse was impossible and I sought a Dr out ASAP. He prescribed topical Verapamil (which my family Dr thought would be ineffective) and I used it daily for 2 years. Should have listened to my family Dr.! The plaque moved, but never went away. I've lost approx 2"in length and a little in girth. I have always been able to get and keep an erection, but intercourse is still not comfortable. The 45 degree bend has changed, and now it's banana shaped.

I saw a new Dr and all he waited to do was operate, even though he admitted that there was no guarantee  the plaque wouldn't return in another area. He said injections of Verapamil wouldn't help because of the length of time that I've had the disease. He said (about 9 months ago) that there was a new topical (i think) medication that was awaiting FDA approval that might actually reverse the scar tissue and might restore some lost size. I've struggled to find anything on line that even mentions a solution like this, and I can't remember the name of the medication.

I'm fortunate that I have a wonderful wife who understands, and found this site for us to look for help. I really don't relish the idea of surgery and have pretty much given up hope of finding something that works for me. I have taken 800 units of vitamin E daily since the problem began, but other than that and the Verapamil, I haven't known to try anything else. I'll look around the site for information and see what I find.

I wish everyone on here the best of luck with their problems and thanks for creating and maintaining this forum.

Welcome to the forum.
The two uros you have seen are not competent indeed.
I am proposing you to talk to your family doctor to prescribe you Pentox (Trental) and Cialis
I begin also to treat my Peyronies very late and it is a bad thing.
My daily treatment is:
2*400mg Pentox (Trental), if don't have side effects 3*400mg is better.
4mg Cialis (cutting the 20mg in 5 pcs)
2*1000mg L-Arginine
2*100mg Ubiquinol, if younger than 40 may use 2*100mg CoQ10, much cheaper
VED, 20 minutes
You can expect improvements after six months or more, some people have faster improvement. Consistency is the key of this treatment.

Thank you both and I'll visit my family doctor and see about getting prescriptions.
Best of luck to you.
