something needs to be done with health insurance companies. mine just denied covering one so i had to file for an exception.
i got a form response back. to my way of thinking it's no different than crutches for a broken leg or a breast implant for post mastectomies. they cover those.
sorry for my rant but i had to vent and i figured everyone here would understand.

From what I read on the forum, many insurance companies in the US will cover VED purchase if it is for ED, but not for Peyronies.
You should try to convince your uro to prescribe one for ED, it may work.

hmmm, i'll dig around and see if i can find anything on it. but it seems to me i've read in the past they don't cover it as they don't cover cialis or the like for ED but will for BPH. it's worth a shot, i reckon.

got a call from my uro's office and said they had something for me. i stopped after work and lo and behold, it was a VED.
they didn't say anything about payment but i suppose i'll find out about that soon enough. at least i got it.

Good news steamer, hope it is free.
You get the three or the one cylinder VED?
Start using it carefully, stick to the protocol and warnings on our forum.

it's a one cylinder. Osbon Esteem manual. just had my first session with it. i took it very easy and i could feel the stretch in my plaque area. i think once i get more time with it i'm gonna like it. slow and easy.

I just got the exact same one, free with insurance (NOT free, my insurance is $900/month).  I was shown a protocol by the doctor, but I don't know if that's the best one to use.  As another informative piece, I do not have ED at all, so my erection begins even before I get the device on.  I did one brief test session and felt the pressure.  They suggested 3 pumps.  It felt like a lot with just 2, so I stopped there and got used to the feeling from it.

What's the best protocol to use?  I realize there are a variety of devices, but this is the one I have.  I felt more comfortable with this than with traction.  Traction sounds painful and I've heard opens the possibility of damage to tissue.  After all, improper healing may have caused our peyronie's in the first place.

You may want to read and follow the protocol on our forum.
I am following it also.

had PM's from Old Man, for which i'm very appreciative, and i'm taking it very easy following the protocol. it's difficult to keep from getting carried away with it but one must make a conscious effort to do so. to keep it under control. why hurt something that's already hurt?
