Peyronies has ruined my (young) life

I've had peyronies since I was 18 years old.  Because of it, I never even had a relationship--I never even kissed a girl.  This disease has completely ruined my self confidence.  Being a a twenty-something virgin with a deformed penis is not an attractive offer to most girls.  I wish I could just experience what it's like to be intimate with another person.  I can't go through life never knowing this most basic human pleasure.

I'm on antidepressants, but I've just started, so it's too soon to know if they're working or not.  I have the hourglass deformity, meaning my penis becomes narrow in the middle and does not become fully erect.  I suppose that I could physically have sex, but I'm not sure a woman would feel anything given the shape of my penis. Any thoughts on how to find hope with this condition when diagnosed at a very young age? That is, any hope to one day a have an intimate relationship? I wish that I had female friends with whom I could discus this (as embarrassing as it would be), so that I could find out if I'm really a lost cause.

YOU ARE NOT
Quotereally a lost cause

The antidepressants may help, but you need also to be active and treat this disease!
A treatment to try to stop the progression of the disease and even to reverse the symptoms.

As I have written in my previous post in "Introduce Yourself" you must find a doctor that is specialist in this disease.
What is the treatment you are doing now?

Listen to James, he knows what he is talking about. I have had Peyronies Disease almost my entire life and I'm 26 now. The despair you are feeling does get better. I must admit, I have avoided relationships too since diagnosis. It is a tough pill to swallow, but it makes you realize how lucky you are to have other amazing things in life. Learn to appreciate what you do have - like your general health and by the sound of it, you still have a functioning manhood. Many men on this site are not so lucky - remember that as you go forward.

This is going to sound impossible to do for you now, but over time you will get there. Actively treat the Peyronies Disease, not just the depression, in whatever way you can and you will begin to get your power back. The victim role is the most destructive human condition imaginable because it renders an individual completely powerless and unproductive.

j,

Trust me on this one; you are not a lost cause and Peyronies Disease will not stop anything...unless you let it.  As long as you can get an erection that is firm enough for penetration, you will be good to go.

I've had Peyronies Disease for 4 years now and at first I thought my sex life was over.  But, with the PAV cocktail and a VED, my sex life is as good as ever and maybe even better than it used to be.

As to the women in your life; if she is the right woman for you, she won't give a darn about the shape of your penis.  Penises come in all shapes and sizes just like the men that own them.

After 4 years with Peyronies Disease, I still think about it every day, but I no longer obsess about it.  For me, that makes all the difference in the world.  Try to get the rest of your life in order and your penis will follow your lead.
