Hi, first post here....61 yrs old...got diagnosed in Oct, 2010......my penis was fine one day and then a week later had a sharp bend upwards toward the front end....

Went to the specialist and got on Pentox for 6 months first......(no change) and then got set up for the (8) injections.  Ugh :( let me commiserate with everyone here who's done it......it's tough to get geard up for it...

anyway, the first one went fairly well, i didn't pass out and actually the numbing shot hurt more than the actual injection. I got a little dizzy afterwards, but i think that might have been the anesthetic....the bruising was pretty traumatic to look at, but it just a bit tender afterwards. I didn't masturbate for about 4 days, then had sex about two days after that.

my doctor told me that my case was moderate and i started the treatment very early, so he was optimistic....after the 3rd treatment, i noticed that my penis was bending to the right.......there seemed to be some help on the left side, but the upward angle remained the same...

5 more treatments after that and no change whatsoever...I'm pretty discouraged...  :(   i'm still taking the pentox, and i've got a great, very understanding wife who has helped me get over the subconcious-ness of it....sex is pain free, but i can't quite get as long of a stroke as i used to be able to...she says she can tell it's not the same stroke, but she also says it "feels bigger"....

i've just gotten around to joining the forum, and there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice and treatments...

i was thinking about ordering up some of the Neprinol to see if that helped.........any suggestions would be awesome.....hit my email...

thanks for the place to be with others facing this...

Carbonlib,

Thanks for posting and joining.  It sounds like your experience with VI is similar to others here.  I've had 12 total in two series.  I noticed the most improvement in the few months following a series--a lot the first time, and a bit the second--but without any proof that VI was responsible since I was also using other supplements and VED.  I personally don't trust the Neprinol because of the marketing...

Best,
KAC

Welcome to the forum. This forum is the only Peyronie's forum managed by the members, for the members. You will not see here any advertisements or links to websites selling something.

It may be a little bit confusing in the beginning regarding all the treatments forum members has done. Peyronie's is a very individual disease and we know from the experience here that some treatments helped some people, other treatments helped others.

I would like to state that you are lucky having a doctor that prescribed you Pentox. Many of us had bad experience with uros.

For sure Pentox is most appreciated and is part from many treatments. How much you are taking daily?
L-Arginine and other supplements like CoQ10 may also be part of a treatment, low dose Cialis or Viagra as well.

Regarding VI injections the opinions spread from "extremely helpfull" to "extremely damaging".

I am also proposing you to look into the VED. It helped and helping many on the forum.

Spend time and read the forum to understand the people opinion and results (positive & negative). It will help you decide what is best for you.
