Hi everyone,

I am a new member from Italy. I am 38 yo and extremely worried.

When I was 20 I underwent surgery following Nesbit procedure because of a congenital bend. The scar tissue that formed right after it has made my sexual life a living hell but somehow I managed to focus on the pleasure rather than the pain. If I could go back I would never do it again but I guess that's too late now.

I've thought about having Peyronies Disease for a while now. The only symptom I experience is a discomfort when I touch the shaft. It's like being stung. I've had it for the past two years and I feel like it comes and goes. I can feel this kind of pain when my penis is not hard and it's there when it moves (when I walk, for example).

I saw a urologist three weeks ago because of something else and he told me he felt something, so he mentioned Peyronies Disease. I didn't want to ask him whether what he felt was the Nesbit scar because the second he said "I can feel something" I blacked out and wanted to leave. When I touch the shaft I don't feel any lumps but he's the doctor I guess.

I can remember satisfying sexual experiences up to 10 days ago. I mean, as satisfying as they can be, considering the hell I went through 18 years ago. Right now I can't even have an erection because of the fear.

Anyway, up to 10 days ago I didn't feel significant pain during the erection, I didn't feel any "lumps" or anything like that (I don't know what the doctor said) and there is no bend, apart from the one due to my Nesbit procedure.

Do you guys think that this pain I have may be related to small traumas that happen during intercourse or is it one of the ways in which Peyronies Disease manifest itself? I've read that any kind of pain in the penis can be related to PB.

I never really accepted my penis and the thought of facing other problems in that area makes me so anxious! That operation 18 years ago ruined my life quality, destroyed my self esteem and caused my body dysmorphic disorder. I feel desperate and so lonely...

Welcome to the forum. I suppose you have preferred not to be here, but from your letter I understand that you don't have choice.

First what I would like to say that you have to see an uro specialised in male sexual disfunctions that will make you an ultrasound test when your penis is flaccid to see if have a scar tissue associated to Peyronie's or to your Nesbit surgery and to tell you what are your options.

Second, better later than never, you have many options to go forward and change your situation.
You can read on the forum regarding treatments that other forum members are doing and have done and it helped them also for the pain and also for ED (Erectile Disfunction) or as you say satisfying sexual experiences.
Earlier you will begin a treatment regime is better. Like Viagra/Cialis/Levitra for ED, Pentox for goof blood flow into the penis, other supplements and VED
You also have allways the option of an implant (as last resource). Many on the forum have done it and returned to full sexual function if a QUALIFIED and EXPERIENCED doctor has done it.

Regarding the pain, it may be from the small trauma because Peyronie's can develop from small trauma.

Read the forum, you will get use to it fast, ask your questions and the most important thing is you are not alone. This forum have many veterans that even are cured from Peyronie's continue to be here to help others. Also the knowledge accumulated during years is gold.
This forum is also a free forum not affiliated to any medical product, medication, doctors, etc'. Is the forum of Peyronie's sufferers for the Peyronie's sufferers.
