Povera me

I am new to the forum. Recently diagonsed and overwhelemed by what purports to cure. I came upon this website, which refers to Peyronies and SSKI. Maybe this is what he is referring to. In the article, SSKI is also used for fibrocystic breast disease and reducing keloids. However, there is a warning of use longer than two weeks needing thyroid monitoring.

Thanks for the welcom James. Diagnosed with Peyronies in February. Started noticing curvature to the right at the circumsion ring. I also notice an internal thickening which seems to run up the vein. The injury may have occured in December, so I got into my Dr. as soon as possible. He prescribed a Rx Ibuprofen to take down the swelling, vitamin e and L-carnitine. After reading, I switched to L-Acetyl Carnitine. Bought Ubiquinol today. Have a follow up in may where I will speak to him about pentox. I have lost probably about an inch. He also prescribed Cialis for ED, of which I am now wary, due to the reading that it can cause further damage. However, when I do get a full erection, there is a visible physical dimnution, almost as if a smaller cylinder is stacked ontop of a larger one, and the smaller cylinder pointing left. The fully erect penis, with cialis, seems to straighten the left side, somewhat, but a curvature to the top then appears.

In what I have read, the stats are that 20% will correct naturally. Has anyone had a natural resolution? I look at the scar tissue on my skin from external inujuries and imagine that is what the rebuilt tissue inside the penis shaft is. Is this correct?

I see you are on line so I hope you are reading my post.
I will split your post and the answers from "A successful protocol.....Blog" to a new topic and move it to "Read This First > Introduce Yourself".
In this way you have your own topic that people can answer you.

You can of course post on any other boards also (except those that they are not two way conversation boards or topics that are just for reading) if you have some relevant questions, answers or suggestions.

Regarding your treatment in my opinion is a good start. I was not worry about Cialis. Did he prescribed you the low dose daily treatment or the 20mg for intercourse?

After reading again your last post, I would like to add my opinion on a few subjects.

It is correct that in a certain % the Peyronie's symptoms are disappearing alone.
Even if your case will be in those %, I was strongly advising you to get on Pentox also and begin VED therapy (my private opinion).
In case that your Peyronie's will go alone, it will not make any damage, but in case that not, it will help not to continue to develop or even revers your Peyronie's.
Regarding VED, before using it read as much as you can on the VED board. Should be carefull with it and the advises of Old Man value is gold.

In my case my curve straightened about 18 months after onset of peyronies. The bad news is I lost about 20% of my penile size. And over the following years down almost 30%.

That was in the mid 1990's and I no know of the VED protocol. By following the single cylinder protocol I gained about 1/2 of my loss. Now with my implant I have gained back to within 10% of my original size.

I've never heard cases of natural resolution.
I think that in the acute phase VED can be usuful in some cases, but also dangerous.
In my case VED has worsened situation (i'm in acute phase).
I think it's better to start VED after some years.
Don't make infiltrations.

In the true since of the word if you ever have peyronies you will always have peyronies.

About 1/3 of the men that develop peyronies the curve will straighten in about 18 months. When that happens you still have the scar tissue, and loss of penile size. Even though I now have an implant there is still a peyronies scar on top of my penis.

As for the VED for most it works well and the sooner the better. Sorry that you did not get good results. We are all different.
