I am a 25 yr old gay man, and over the past two years of suspicions and delayed action, I'm faced with a firm Peyronies diagnosis. Long story short: Slowly my penis began to tighten and constrict at the base as I got older, and even in the flaccid state my penis felt firm and unelastic where it met my groin, with a firm indentation. I spoke to my nurse practitioner about it, but she said it didn't sound like a big deal. This led me to avoid putting too much pressure on it, at least as best I could, as it no longer felt "stable" and there were times it felt like it might bend or rupture at the thinner point. My penis has never erected properly in the first place, with a tight and sometimes painful bulge in the middle (the result of inadvertent self masturbation injury) preventing the head from ever fully getting hard. So as my penis slowly tightened at the base, it was with shock and distress that I first noticed about 9 months ago that my penis had begun to rotate, twist, in a clockwise direction. As much as I tried to tell myself it was a trick of my eyes, it was very real. When I do now manage to erect, there is a distinct unpleasant tightening ache in the right lower portion of my penis, and the twist seems to now be transforming itself into a curve - my penis seems to hang exclusively to the right, if left to it's own devices. It no longer points straight out when flaccid.

My diagnosis came last month, though I'd already suspected the answer. Change in the twist seems to have slowed or halted, so I am just waiting while I consider my options as to what to do next.

It's great to meet men who can relate to my experience and know I'm not the first guy to have gone through this.

Welcome to the forum. We are all in the same boat with this disease and we try to help each other based on our members experience and knowledge.
What you are describing is very close to what I have.
As I understand you are not doing any treatment? What the uro that diagnosed you said regarding treatment?
The worst thing to do is doing nothing. I made also this mistake for more than two years and I am sorry about that.
I am proposing you read the forum boards regarding treatments to understand your options.
Many forum members had improved they situation following one or other treatment. Myself I am on VED, Pentox, low dose Viagra and will add L-Arginine. Even after short time on Pentox I have some improvements.

It's sounds to me like you'd be well placed to start taking pentox. If the condition keeps on changing, at least with pentox you might be able to slow this to some extent. Do you have a treatment plan in place? What did the urologist suggest?

Sorry for the delay in reply, everyone, I really do appreciate the welcome. My uro said he was of the opinion to leave it alone unless the changes become drastic. I did ask about meds, he mentioned Pentax, but said "in my situation" he would not advise it. I felt so embarrassed I didn't ask any more questions. It seems to be settling into the ache on the right lower front side, and the now noticible 'rotation' counter clockwise. My uro did an ultra sound, and didn't find 'signifgant' scar tissue. He says as long as the rotation remains subtle, to just monitor it for now.

I feel very odd about it, because each time my penis fully erects now (let's just say, not a frequent occurrence), the changes look more pronounced than last time and I go through the worry and embarrassment all over again. I think I may now even be losing size, which I find most upsetting to think about of all.

Skjaldborg

I strongly suggest going back and getting on pentox. It is a safe and well-tolerated medication (and cheap too). At most, there are some gastrointestinal side effects. This is one of those "better safe than sorry" situations. You might be experiencing inflammation and not know it and pentox would help with that. If you are experiencing erection problems, ask about low-dose cialis. Cialis has the bonus effect of stopping tgf-beta, a chemical involved with inflammation and scar tissue formation.

I genuinely urge you to got back and get on these meds. The earlier you take them the better. Your future self will thank you.

Best,

The answer you get from the uro is typical answer form uro's that don't know to much about Peyronie's, sadly most of them.
I will second Skjaldborg get on Pentox and low dose Cialis as soon as you can.

To eliminate (or reduce to minimum) Pentox side effects, begin with one daily for one week and than increase to two daily (or three if you are tolerating it easy). I take always during meals and have no side effects, last one no late than 06:00 PM.

I will add also that many on the forum are taking also L-Arginine 1000mg daily.

Also VED will be very helpful, read the VED related topics.
