It could be worse

Iconoclast

About 6-8 months ago I noticed that my erect dick has taken a distinct upward bend just behind the head. I have not yet visited a doctor about this condition. During a Google search I learned  about Peyronie's disease. It seems now very likely that I have this condition.
I also have Duputryn's contracture. It developed many years ago in my right hand and barely noticeable now in my left hand. It seems to be stable and has not caused any problem.
My age is 62 years. My dick has measured about 6.5 inches long and 5.0 inches circumference. It has always had a slight, graceful upward curve. My balls are of moderate size and don't hang particularly low, often being somewhat tight against the base of my dick. I believe that I have lost some length in recent months, possibly due to the upward curvature (I have not measured recently.) and my balls don't hang so low now. I have a firm plaque on the dorsal surface of my dick at the site of the new curvature. I don't have any nodules or hourglass shape. I have no pain either soft or hard. The condition seems to be stable: I don't believe that the curvature is getting more severe.

I've never had any pain associated with this condition and I have no recollection of any injury. Occasionally sex can be quite athletic but the stress is usually on the base of my dick, not the end where the curvature is. Lately the curvature has resulted in some difficulty during sex. I am gay and versatile while my FB is total bottom. We've been using various positions to make insertion easier. I've had sex with women but not in recent years and certainly not since this Peyronie's.

I have masturbated regularly since about 10 years old. My habit varies quite a lot now, sometimes jerking off twice a day or maybe going several days without. I am right-handed and my dick therefore bends slightly to the right. Sometimes I use my left hand and that will tend to straighten that rightward curve a little. I am not able to straighten the upward curve except temporarily. I wonder if masturbation can contribute to Peyronie's. I don't jerk very hard but I seldom use lube, either.

I am a private pilot. Pentox is a restricted medication. If indeed it might help me, I have to be very careful, perhaps trying to get it illicitly so that it's not in my medical record. While the FAA may approve my use of it, the hassle is enormous.

My main concern is whether my Peyronie's will progress. It seems to be stable now and I can live with the sexual inconvenience. I'll to monitor my condition and learn as much as I can through this forum.

I have some photos that I can send via email but I can't figure how to attach them in this forum. I have little knowledge how severe this can get because I have seen very few pix of the condition.

I'm a GA pilot and can totally relate to the hassles of the FAA and meds. You are fortunate that you have not had any pain, but the degree of curvature can obviously have an impact on positions and performance. There are still treatments you can try (traction of VEDs) that won't impact or go on your record. You might consider also finding a specialist and at least getting a definite diagnosis and confirmation that it is Peyronies Disease.
