Hello group,

I have had peyronies for sometime now.  I have lurked a few years ago but did not post much.  I have to admit I have tried a few basic treatments but it became obvious to me I felt I was not getting any positive results.  I had visited a few urologist in the Kansas City area but always left feeling they were not much help.  It was funny they did not have a problem taking my co-pay while billing my insurance but they just wasn't up to speed on the disease or any treatments.  So I just walked away telling myself I would focus on a couple other health problems that were on my plate.  That focus was psoriatic arthritis and DDD disease.  Fast forward ahead to date with now having those issues managed and under control I come back to my 70 percent curvature of my penis in which it stinks.

I have considered just having a graft surgery and hoping it will allow me to move on with my life.  I had scheduled one surgery and have cancelled it for fear of all the other problems at might develop from a graft surgery.  I will need to reschedule but I want or hope to find some comfort in my possible decision of going under the knife as a treatment.  Honestly I just don't know what else is left.  I have read in the past about all these alternative treaments but I always walk away thinking it is like tossing something on the wall hoping it will stick.  Anyway, I have come back to this site as an active member and want to introduce myself back into the group.  Thanks and I look forward to reading and discussing peyronies with others on our quest for a treatment solution.

Sorry for your situation but you are not alone. I have also waited 3 years before beginning to do something regarding my Peyronie's and it was a big mistake.
You have mentioned just that you have a 70% bend. Do you have other symptoms also?
Before going under knife, I suggest try at least Pentox and VED, both has helped many people in this forum and for some was a good preparation for the surgery.
Finding an urologist that understand in Peyronie's in your area, maybe some people on the forum can help.
Invest time in reading the posts on the forum. It will help you to understand better your situation.
Don't give up!!!

James,

Thanks for the support and comments.  I have been considering surgery.  But it such a tuff decision to make.  The risk factors etc. are in my head.

As I wrote you in my previous post. Before going to surgery, invest time in reading the forum. Peyronie's treatment results are varying from person to person but is not:
QuoteI have read in the past about all these alternative treatments but I always walk away thinking it is like tossing something on the wall hoping it will stick
Find the best uro or Male Disfunction Specialist you can get and see with him what can be done in your specific case. Go to him after acquiring knowledge from this forum, it will help you to decide for what you want to give a chance and what not.
Surgery is the last choice, not the first.
