A couple of questions... I have had Peyronie's for about a year now.  Still able to get an erection but penis has shortened considerably and (even after 7 VI injections and traction and pentox) the hourglassing has gotten worse.  After 6 month (and thousands of dollars) with Mulhall in nYC, he told me there was nothing else he could do.

I am 54, in escellent shape (save for this) and don't mind being agressive treatment.  Am wondering whether I shoudl do a penile implant now while it is still realtively early in the peyronies or wait and see how xiaflex will do.

Who is the BEEEEXT impant surgeon in the country?  A lot of peolple seem to be sold on Milam.  Is there someone in NYC?

THX!

Worried Guy

Can you still have intercourse?  If you can get an erection most surgeons will try a graft procedure to try and fix the hourglass formation.

There is no one near you that I know of that can help you. Dr. Milam at Vanderbit is very skilled at this.

NYCSURFER,
Im going out on a limb here and guessing that you are a surfer.  If so, do you find that after being in cold water your peyronies symptoms are much worse?  The cold water causes the usual shrinkage, but with Peyronies the shrinkage / hourglassing lasts for hours afterwards...
I surf and always noticed that my circulation down there is next to nothing after long periods in the water.  Ive started to wear a wetsuit even when I don't need to just to keep my penis warm and blood flowing.
I've also wondered if years of smashing my penis between my body and a hard surfboard while paddling has somehow aggravated the Peyronies.
Anyway, just wondering,

Searching the web for a implant expert in NY I have find this name at urologicalcare.com
They are mentioning that he is performing more than 300 implants per year.
Is anyone in this forum had experience with him?

My information is he is stuck on the Coloplast Titan. Now that has been a while. The Coloplast is not a length expanding implant, and as we know one of the most common complaints with peyronies is loss of size.

The last I heard he will use a LGX but you have to insist on it. That has been a while so  I don't know his stand today that may have changed.  More and more doctors are recognizing the benefits of the LGX for men with peyronies.

Be sure to have a list of printed questions to ask. That goes for any doctor you consider. If you see him please update us on his position today.

In his web is stated that he is using both AMS and Coloplast.

Vanderbilt opened the Cool Springs Surgery Center just south of Nashville TN US a few years ago to help with the cost of out patient surgery. I was there this summer for my bladder problems. It is a new well equipped facility.

I just read your story. Is there any way you can get here to have the implant.
