I'm a fairly healthy single guy who hasn;t had sex in years now - this is all due to Peyronies Disease - I have been sober for nearly five years but only had Peyronies Disease for about two. I'm thinking about starting to use and drink again because I have no outlet

I've seen three Dr's - the first was my general practitioner who referred me to the second  who was Chinese and stated I just live with it and third told me to eat vitamins for 7months and get back to him - nothing has changed.

I hate life right now.

Worried Guy

Which country do you live in?  There are plenty of ways you may be able to improve your situation.  Have a good luck through this forum and feel free to ask questions.  You can try oral meds, traction and VED.  Xiaflex could be available in 2 years from now and this shows promise.  There is the option of surgery and if all else fails an implant is possible.  There is no reason why ANYONE with Peyronie's should never have a healthy sex life again unless they are unfortunate enough to live in a country which does not provide healthcare at a reasonable costs.  Implants have a 90% satisfaction rate so you really have nothing to lose by trying things out.  There is no cure for this and things may never be as good as they were but they can be better.

Worried Guy is right. There are approaches that can be of help to you. We have all felt helpless from time to time because this clearly is a incredibly difficult condition to live with, but taking positive steps can transform your outlook. I know it's hard to take positive steps, especially when you have tried to previously and received terrible advice, but don't lose hope. There is much to be gained from reading this forum, and seeing what treatments are out there.

Peyronies is very hard on out state of mind. A caring and loving wife is a great help, well at least mine was.

You are not seeing the right doctors. You need a Male Sexual Function Specialist not a general practice urologist. There are only 3 or 4 very good ones in the US.

My journey with peyronies started about 16 years ago. One thing I never did was give up. Read my history here or go to my blog http://jackp-penileimplant.blogspot.com and read my story I call "One Mans Journey".

Remember never-ever never-ever never-ever ever give up. This forum and Old Man came into my life at a time I needed it most. These guys here are great.
