A short time ago I wrote to Dr. Laurence Levine concerning a study he was involved in to evaluate the understanding of primary care physicians and urologists relating to Peyronie's. I asked if I could get a copy of the study (survey) and post it here. DR. Levine sent a very nice reply stating that I was welcome to use abstract information that was published in the Journal Of Urology. However, he was finishing an article for publication on the survey, and the survey in total could not be used until the article was published. This is understandable, and hopefully once published we will be able to post it here.

Briefly stated, the survey was a multiple choice questionnaire. The results indicated a surprising lack of knowledge by PC doctors and urologists concerning facts relating to Peyronies Disease.

Why is this important to us, the Peyronies Disease patient? First it's important to do your homework and find a urologist that is well informed about Peyronies Disease. Second, many of you are very knowledgable from your own research, and may be able to help your own urologist gain a better insight into the disease, and a desire to increase their education concerning Peyronies Disease. We don't have to get in our doctors face with this, but we don't have to be passive either. I believe that more than anything else, the doctors need to know the psychological devistation this disease imparts on the patient and his family. As knowledgable patients this is an area where we can all contribute, and make a little difference without going public with our condition.

If any of you wish to discuss this matter please do so under the Topic "Awareness" on the forum.

how it can be free????

What do you mean? What is your Peyronie's history? Please introduce yourself in the proper thread and resist the urge to post low content posts in multiple threads.

What is the reason for posting the same short sentence with no connection to the subject on two different topics?
