My actual erection does not come close to my stretched length

I am about 1" shorter when I have a natural or viagra-induced erection than I am when i stretch out my penis in fastsize...why is this?  Is this common with others?

Stretched length seems to be such a universal standard, but it's somewhat misleading in my case.  Again this makes me lean more toward an implant bc I cannot get an erection that is long enough as my stretchde length anyway... so the implant will be no shorter than my natural erection.

I must admit that seems odd to me. If one believes in the concept that erections are caused by the cavernosa filling with blood, which in turn stretches the tunica to it's "natural" stretched length..... then you would think erection lenght would equate close to erect length. I have no explanation of why yours would be an inch difference.

I had a chance to ask a doctor about this and he says the scar also expands during the erection - so it may be able ot be 6" flaccid (stretched) but the scar cuts off more blood flow when it is naturally trying to get erect...

I still think it's strange though.  It's getting worse over time in the erect state even though I can stretch it more than ever (due to fast size most likely).

The other thing I noticed w/ fastsize is that I think I got 1 cm back... but I think I lost girth.  A plastic surgeon I know says that fastsize could never work because no tissue expander "makes more cells" - it just makes them thinner and stretched out.  When he does breast reconstruction after a mastectomy, he says the new breast has to be stretched out over time with a tissue expander, but it is never like the other breast - the skin is always thinner.  Skin can stretch - but it can't be "filled in" - so I don't get how people have the girth gains w/ fast size.  All the diagrams say the body "naturally" fills in cells, but no plastic surgeon agrees that this happens.  Even Dr. Eid who does 300 implants a year says that if you leave your implant inflated all the time, the skin on your penis will start to thin out.

I just finished my second month of fastsize, which I am doing in tandem with the vacuum therapy and now the low dose daily Cialis (new this week - the Levitra made me too sick)

I have gone from erect stats of barely 5" in length to 5 3/4 (possibly longer when I used the Levitra - didn't exactly want to stop and measure) and I believe it was a girth of 4 7/8 (I can't find my original measurements - only the  ones after a month of therapy, which had seen an increase of girth to 5") which is now at 5 1/2. I am only now getting erections that are strong enough for careful sexual activity.

I am cautiously optimistic that I will end up around 7" - still smaller than when I started, but that's fine. I don't care which therapy is successful or how it works. All I want to know is that I am continuing to show improvement after my surgery and that soon I will have something like my former sex life after years of pain.

Brightdog,

that's great... a lot of progress for 2 mos.  Are you doing the VED protocol on here every day?  I keep missing days and have not seen gains due to it... how often are u using fastsize?  I find it to be too painful if I had an orgasm in the last 12-24 hrs...so i end up skipping around with that too.

i dont know why i am losing so much girth...ugh...

how far in to Peyronies Disease were you when you started this?  you're only taking cialis?  No pentox, l-arg, etc?

Do you have a lot of plaque?  -- oh update... I saw you had surgery...which procedure?  Did they excise the plaques or just incise them? Probably the surgery is making it possible for some length gain i'd guess... vs. just doing this on your own.

Did you have really strong erections before surgery?  I don't - which is one of the reasons i dont want to risk it.

It is NOT comfortable, that's for sure. I wear the device almost every day - I think I have missed only two. I wear it for anywhere from 2 to 7 hours. I am supposed to be doing 8, but that is just not practical. I find it difficult to drive without either hurting myself or having the device come apart - and since I work in 4 locations, that becomes a timing issue.

I have not been doing the VED for as long. I started that on the 22nd of September. I have missed two days with the VED, and I had to modify the 3-cylinderprotocol a bit because I was feeling some pain in the graft site when I used the larger cylinder.

I am post-op, having had the combination of excision/graft/plication. I am only taking cialis, and that is only for the next 6 weeks. I was not put on anything for the first 7 weeks post-surgery, and then I tried Levitra 3 times and it made me too sick. I seem to be tolerating the low dose Cialis. I am not taking pentox or anything else - I might consider this later, but I am extremely healthy and have always resisted taking any kind of supplement unless it seemed absolutely necessary. When I am finished the first 6 months, I might ask my doc about pentox as a preventive strategy.

Yes, I had fabulous erections before the surgery - and that was part of the problem, because erections hurt. It was also why I risked the surgery - as a healthy guy with no other complications except the 160 degree bend, I was the ideal candidate. I was also starting with an original length of about 8", so I figured I could afford to lose some size without having a crisis. Good thing I was ready for that, because the initial loss of size was almost 3".

If I had known about this site BEFORE the Verapamil injections made my condition so much worse, I would likely have gone the VED/pentox route. The past two years have been frustrating, painful, and boring. On the other hand, I am functioning! The surgery has been successful, the post-surgery treatments appear to be yielding excellent results, and apart from begrudging the time and energy spent on this, I am a happy camper.
