Hello gentlemen. So, as I lay here for the next hour using my ReatoreX, I figured it's a good time to introduce myself and detail my journey so far. First thing about me, I'm 48, and was born with autoimmune so this have caused me issues my entire life. Spine issues, psoriasis, iritis, spondylitis, arthritis, reiters syndrome and so on. My body attacks itself at times.

The lucky guy I am, was having intercourse with my fiancé about a year ago. It was aggressive and she was on top. A slip out and downward aggressive thrust caused a bend near the base, and pain, but nothing horrible. Well, during the healing process, I guess the autoimmune kicked in and I believe brought on Peyronies, and quickly. It took about 2 months after the incident when I started noticing pain in my erections. Then the bend started, upward. Then I started feeling the hard plaque build up near the base and on top. I still figured it would heal on its own. In March 2020, the bend was at about 30% and very painful and I was going to call my urologist for a consultation.

Covid 19 and the lock down haulted that. Since March, my bend turned into a hinge of 90 degrees or more, with the hourglass shape on the sides and horrible pain only during erections. Needless to say, this makes sex difficult and I have to hold it straight and move slowly to work at all, since we are trying for a baby.

I made the call, and my doctor diagnosed me with Peyronies over the computer. I started with the DMSO mixtures I found here, to no luck, and my doc told me to 1) get Restorex and 2) make an appointment with Dr Levine. I'm in the Chicago burbs, so Dr Levine is next.

I've been using Restorex for 3 hours a day for the past 2 weeks, and have noticed absolutely nothing yet. I do 2 hours straight and 1 hour bent, even though the bend is too close to the base to really get the full benefit.

That's where I'm at. I've watched the surgeries and I'm terrified of any of that. I'm ready to try injections, medicines, healers or even a witch doctor if it can heal me, avoid surgery and get things straight again without pain.

I'm open to any suggestions of guidance. I'm scared, I'm modest, embarrassed, and want a normal sex live with my fiancé, who is 14 years younger than me. So, yeah... I need to be functional for years to come. Haha!

Stop doing 3 hours/day. That's wayyyy too much for this particular device. You can make the issue worse at best and even injure yourself beyond repair. Read the manual. You should do noore than 2 or 3 x 30 minute sessions per day. Be careful.

I'd agree w CAD and then meet w Dr Levine ASAP.

Good to know. It's funny, I did see that in the manual, and my current doc prescribed Restorex and said 6 hours per day! I thought 3 hours was too little. But I think I'll take your advice. I'll keep it to 2 30 minute sessions until I get it with Dr Levine.

Clearly, my doctor is not educated on Restorex... To be fair, he didn't name it on this, but that's what he suggested I buy, and how I found it, and these forums.

There are other devices that are used for longer durations but I only have experience with restorex. I've heard that restorex has higher tension than the others along with the ability to bend. I've also read post on this board of traction going bad for those that over do it. That's why I jumped so quick when I saw the time you are putting in. The last thing we need is for things to be worse...just trying to keep you safe but I'm no doctor. The guy behind restorex is and he said 2x30 min a day. Although his clinical trial also had a group do 3x 30 min a day. I did 3 x 30 min a day for several weeks during my regimen with no issues.

I appreciate the input and trust me when I tell you, I'm listening to your advice. I'm going to follow the device directions, that makes sense and I'm terrified of this getting worse. I'm glad you were fast to chime in. I did this for about 2.5 weeks, so hopefully I'm good. No new pain anyway. I'll make my appointment with Dr Levine this Monday.

I've had a lot of success with RestoreX but my bend wasn't as bad and i started about two months after my injury.

I believe that if you can afford it you should get the Phallosan Forte, or the Penimaster Pro.  For the same price you can also get a full stretch kit here: https://totalmanshop.com/collections/male-enhancement-products/products/the-total-man-aio-full-kit-absolutely-everything

The idea is to use low traction for many hours, do "active" traction with RestoreX or weight hanging, and heal in a stretched state doing all day stretching.

You will not make it worse, you just need to not overdo it all at once. Start low and then go up in traction intensity. It'll take months but the curve should improve.

I also recommend adding some light VED if you really want to maximize your therapy.

If one can afford it, my first choice would always restorex as only30 minutes a day is needed vs 6-9 hours.

Hello, quick question,

Have you had success using this approach? I happen to have a good all day stretcher and restorex.

Hello, quick question,

Have you had success using this approach? I happen to have a good all day stretcher and restorex.

Hi,

I've been using this method for about three weeks and have had good success. Though i have injured myself a bit because of heavy tension using the Totalman rod extension system. But nothing too bad, just am super careful to keep low tension for longer.

So currently my therapy is: 60-90 minutes of restorex per day, after the session i immediately followed by an ADS with the legstrap if i'm moving around. Whenever i'm sitting and working alone at night I'm using the rod extender for about 3 hours a day.

The rod extender i'm not using as consistently as the ADS and RestoreX which i use religiously every day.

My curve is down to less than 10% so now i'm being careful with how much curved counter traction i do with restorex as i don't want to 'overcorrect.'

I'm also seeing increases in length and i've gained ~3/4th of an inch after about 3 months of using RestoreX and a few weeks of using the rod extender + ADS.

For girth i've been doing pumping, but been getting some edema (swelling of the skin) which i don't like. So i'm introducing penis ring/clamping, very light and short amount of time (5 minutes per session 3x a day.) Not sure about results of this yet since i just started.

Hopefully this helps with the dents, which traction hasn't done much to fix.

The membership i got to totalman has been incredibly helpful, he has a good program that includes rest days. Also a ton of tips and tricks about pumping and stuff.

Good luck.

Great reply and really helpful. Thanks.

This morning I had the usual 30mins on restorex. Gave the little man a short break. Followed by wearing an all day stretcher called jelqtogain. (Definitely not doing the jelq part). Instinct tells me 3 hours should be right length of time to keep on. For the record. I think your right. Is best to streight away put on the ads (all day stretcher) immedieltely after restorex session.

Intend to repeat this process once again in the evening (when I get home from work). Not too dissimilar to your daily regime

Was considered totalman kit, but so far have spent £500 on various devices.

I do use a heat lamp when in Restorex sessions. Restorex doesn't give a counter bend to my little man's bend. They don't align. Not much chance of 'overdoing' counter bend for me.

Having Peyronie's is an expensive business. They ought to repay us.

Not sure how that JelqToGain ADS works, if it were vacuum based then you could wear it for a long time. I personally wear mine to sleep. Mind you, it's meant to be worn at very very low tension when coupled with an active method like the RestoreX device.

I think 3 hours is fine at first, but you'll probably want to increase that time as much as possible. Studies show that those that were stretched the longest received the best results.

The point of using an ADS right after a RestoreX session is to allow the penis to heal in an elongated state. Also to avoid 'turtling' of the penis which may happen as the penis tries to heal itself.

Yeah I've spent a little over $1K in vacuum devices, restorex, the totalman AIO, wraps, lotion, etc. But it's all worth it to maximize the therapy and keep my sanity.

Heat is absolutely important, i'm not using a heat lamp myself but have seen it recommended. I use a "pea" pouch from CVS and chuck it in the microware. I'm going to get an infrared heat pad from amazon in the next few days so that the pad doesn't get cool.

I think Jelq can be benefitial, which is why i'm doing clamping. But i'm not doing them myself because it's tricky to be at the right erection level. What i'm doing these days is clamp at 100% and then *gently* bend against the curve. We'll see how that goes.

While my penis does not look the same as before, at least the added length (and hopefully girth) gives me mental comfort. Specially because in my case my bend is upward and only slight but it still disturbs me.

Mr man

Hello buddy,

Your very fortunate to be able to wear an ADS while sleep. I couldn't risk it. My erections are healthy. If I wore a device while sleeping. Am pretty certain my penis would damage.

Am tending to agree with you on all other points. 3 hours in the minimum I'll be using ADS/jelqtogain. Working the way up to 5 hours. Back when I use to wear andropeyronie. 5 hours was the max I could wear it before the little guy looked like a shrivelled cucumber.

Jelq2gain offers 2 devicrs. To suite 1: uncircumcised or 2: for circumcised. Unit 1 is a cup like designed to attach itself to the foreskin. Unit 2 is a thick condom looking divice that attaches to the whole of the penis from glans to base. I have to say for something that costs only £60 GBP. They do the job.

Mine is unit 2. You stretch out your penis. Less if you require light tension. (As we do). More if a strong traction is required. Then roll it over your penis. It creates a vacum. It clips onto a elastic. Which wraps around the knee.

The system was designed to increase penis length. Utilising a jelq exercise. Followed by wearing the device. To allow the penis to heal elongated. However, jelqing is reported to irritate scar tissue. As you rightly say. It should be done only a little. Personally my goal is to get a streight penis. Not really interested in the jelq. Besides am certain the little guy is growing bigger with traction.

If you want to upgrade your heater. Could I recommend a heat lamp? Cost me £30 GBP from online. I bought one that has a floor stand. Idea being it's beside my bed. It's fully adjustable. Up, down, left, right, and twists. Can be directed anywhere. It doesn't get in the way or heat up your device because you can face it directly onto your penis. Definitely buy one with a dimmer switch. Is essential. Am only using about 6-7 percent of its heat. Penis is a relatively small part of the body. Doesn't require to much heat

I have my first office visit with Dr Levine in about 8 hours from now. I'm nervous as hell. I'll report back tomorrow after the meeting.

I met with Dr. Levine in Chicago today for the first time. Here's how it went down... You meet with a different doc first. He talks you though the symptoms, and then what he'll be doing with the ultrasound. First, they take measurements flaccid, and then take the ultrasound. For me, this found plaque. Next, comes the injection. is this pleasant? No but I can say, it's not as bad as my mind expected. It's quick, and not horrible. He leaves the room for about 20 minutes, while the erection takes place, tells you to think of something erotic and dims the lights and to "Work the medicine from the base to the tip." After that, he returns with Dr. Levine. Dr. Levine takes over, and takes all the measurements and ultrasound, and then the surprise, 2 more injections to reverse the effects. Then, get dressed and consultation.

For me... I have an hourglass hinge, he called severe at 80%. Excision and grafting surgery is his suggestion, and we meet up again in 3 months to discuss it. The grafting tissue now comes from a lab grown protein that surrounds the heart, so no extra incisions.

I asked about Xiaflex. He said it doesn't work. Period. In 45 patients they gave it to, only 25 saw ANY improvement, and the MOST was 5% on the curve. It also softens the tissue so much, you can have what he called an "Emergency blow out" where you have instant surgery, and its much harder to fix.

On the Restorex traction, he said to use it as often and as long as possible. I mentioned some people had concerns over the traction strength, and the manufacturer says 30 mins, twice a day. His response was "You don't wear braces for an hour a day." Even with restorex, use it as many times a day, as long as you can stand.

Now, I have to decide if I will get this surgery and now I'm REALLY nervous...

Mr man

Bro,
Opting for surgery is a difficult decision. Am in the same boat.

Here is my story. Short version. When peyronie's first struck me. Sex was out of the question. It was painful.

From the right side of my penis there was a 45 degree bend. From the left side it was about 25 degrees. There's a twist. My surgeon recommended the nesbitt procedure.

According to the 'british society of urologists'. Nesbitt causes 2cm reduction in length for every 15 degrees corrected. Please verify this figure. Am going by memory. You can also find figures including success rate, and side effects for grafting surgery. I recommend that read. It's enlightening and reassuring to read from actual surgery results.

Anyway... The onset of the disease had only been 4 months. So we had to wait about 10 months to pass the acute stage. She also recommended pumping.

Assuming vacum therapy was streighforward. I bought a pump with a pressure gauge and west ahead. Doing it completely wrong for 6 months. Untill Old man corrected me. He also mentioned a 95% succes rate on vacum therapy. Overall vacum therapy had little effect on me.

I moved onto traction. This made a difference. Now the curvature has evened out to about 25 degrees.

Although I purchased a Restorex. The devices that worked for me was andropeyronie. But only for 6 weeks before it tired out my penis and got shelved. The most effective device has been jelqtogain. Because you can wear it for 6 hours +.While going about your daily business.

It's been over 2 years now. My next appointment with the surgeon is December 2020. I hope to have a curvature of less then 20 degrees by then. That's within normal range. Then I can kiss goodbye to surgery...

Hope there is something in there that will help you decide?

Daremo,

Best of luck, you're lucky to be able to consult with Dr. Levine. My doctor is certainly not as good. He never even mentioned traction or VED until I asked about it.

I think his advice of using RestoreX for as long as possible makes a lot of sense. I'm going to implement that advice myself. Personally though, i'd use a vacuum based traction device to wear longer more comfortably. RestoreX clamps on your head and it becomes painful the more you use it.

I agree with Mr. Man and would try many hours of traction before considering surgery.

Best of luck.

Mr. Man,

Thanks about the advice on the heat lamp. I'm thinking about it. About clamping, it's a penis enlargement technique. Basically you get an erection and then put on a penis ring and clamp on. This build up pressure in the penis and makes it thicker. It's extremely dangerous and i've only recently started experimenting with it and would not recommend it to anyone.

Penis clamping,
I have done something like it. I took a low dose of salidafil/Viagra. My penis would get big. A shoe lace would be tied to the base of penis. Near the pelvic. In a noose. This would fill penis with blood. The lace would be pushed down further. The penis would be pulled up. Testicles would be kept down. Creating an engorged penis. lace would be tightened but not enough to be uncomfortable. The result would be a penis that is completely streight. Sex would be possible.

Only problem is it's not sustainable for long periods..

This is something I haven't don't for a couple of years. You brought back memories.

Hey Man,

Yeah so I use the totalman ADS. It works great but it does have a bit of a learning curve. It also takes some time to tape up the glands and putting it on. About 10 minutes or so which can be annoying.

Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/GFt4I8g9vk8?t=320

Just a few caution points:

- Use the smallest possible glans cup
- Make sure you tape up correctly and all the way past the glans (i got a blister on my skin right below the glans once)
- Keep the tension low as you sleep since you're going to be moving around
- Use plenty of lubricant because the skin will get irritated by the rubber sleeve

For me the biggest pain point is the aggravation to the skin by the sleeve. I usually just put some extra lubricant and it helps, but after some hours i think it dries up and starts itching so i have to take it off. I don't usually wear it the whole night because of this only like 4-6 hrs. Might experiment with coconut oil or something.

The leg strap is the best IMO. You might be able to use the PMP or Phallosan Forte as well. They seem more comfortable and with less work to put on. But the forte doesn't come with a knee strap AFAIK.

LMK if you have any questions.

Hey,

Yeah i'm very happy with the all-in-one-kit. I haven't even used the weight hanging kit yet, but i plan to soon. Simply because sitting with the rod extender for hours pushing on my pelvis gets uncomfortable so I want to change it up with some *light* vacuum weight hanging.

It comes with a nice pulley system i plan on installing on my desk. I do plan on graduating to compression extending eventually.

Anyway, as for the quality, I'm very happy with the quality of the products. They're generally very sturdy and not cheaply made. The only thing is that you have to cut the sleeves. Even though they're heavy duty they do wear and tear. But i imagine they're much sturdier than the sleeves that come with the forte.

Everything works very well, the only tedious part is the taping of the glans to put on the vacuum chamber. But i've gotten pretty good at it and takes me just a couple of minutes to do it.
