Please use descriptive subjects lines on ALL your posts

Wow, the subject lines are really starting to show up now.  Some just really reach out of the screen and grab your eyeballs (ouch).

Kevin and I have had a conversation about what makes a good subject.  He offered this advice and I agree.  He said, "I believe the ideal is to include a word or two which make refererence to the original issue along with some additional words reflecting whatever unique point the new post makes."

Keep this in mind.  And, be creative.

When your posts here are recorded in the Annals of Peyronies Disease, you will wish you had added a subject.  The subject line is like the title of your literary work.    Thanks for your help.

Gentleman,

Again I ask for your help.  For instance, if you go to the topic "Oral treatments" and post about Pentox, don't leave the subject line as "Oral Treatments".  Change it to Pentox so those surfing for information onm Pentox can quickly find it.  I ask all to go back through your posts and modify the subject lines (by clicking on modify).  When you author a post just remember that you are responsible to also author the subject line so it describes your post.

There are 20,000 posts on this forum, we can't do that for everyone.  I avoid ever modifying another member's post since post integrity was a big reason this forum was started.  I only do so to fix a broken hyper-link, or sometimes delete a accidental double post and then i note it right in the post.

Thanks for the help.  You guys are the best, your posts are awesome and I want others to be able to find the information that they are sometimes desperate to read.

There is a very small thing that we can all do to make our forum more readable.  This will greatly lighten my work load.

When we reply under a topic, whether to make a new topic or to respond to a prior post within a topic, by default  the topic description is inserted as the “Subject:” line of our new post.  Changing that to something descriptive like “Heat Lamps” or “Idea About Awareness” or ”reply to Joshua - Vit E"  would make scanning the posts under a topic much faster.  The idea is to keep a readable forum for us and new members.  Just seeing the topic description as the “Subject:”  on every post within a topic makes it difficult.  If a member looks under "Alternative Treatment" they should be able to scan down and tell what the subject of a post is without reading the entire post.  I have been as big of an offender as anyone, but lets give it a try.  If you notice an old post of yours without a descriptive subject line, you can edit it and fix the post.  I appreciate the little extra effort to keep thousands of posts in an easily accessible manner.
