I had an old injury in high school, which created a slight curve to the left. My penis was ok though and I had sex without a problem. Recently, at the age of 27, I had sex too many times in a row and reinjured my penis. Although there was no telltale sign of injury, I could tell that it was really sore after the last time I had sex. Ever since then it has been more curved to the left and tense. I can have sex, but have avoided it due to soreness after ejaculation.

A few days after the injury, I masturbated and it seemed fine, but slightly sore after ejaculation. I did it again a few days later to see what would happen and my penis was really really sore after ejaculating. It is still tense a full day later. I am writing because the soreness and tension in my penis worries me and I was wondering if any of you had insights as to how the soreness may progress over time.

You need to find a Male Sexual Function Specialist not a general practice urologist. Unfortunately there are very few good ones.

Do you sleep on your stomach? If you do, stop it and sleep on your side or back, your penis and spine will be much happier. I used to sleep on my stomach which I believed may have strained my penis and contribute to my penis problems today. I think it may be a good idea for you to start on a drug like trental (pentoxifyline) to clear out any little bit of scar tissue you may have built up over time, which currently ails you. The longer you ignore the problem, the bigger it will get, your body is giving you little warning signs right now. I'd say nip it in the bud. Or find out whats causing the pain and stop doing it.

Hi, I have been reading the forum for a while now, but this is my first post. I'm 19 and believe I have had Peyronies Disease for about 1.5 months now. It first started with me noticing a very slight curve to the left, but there was no pain. Then one day, my erections began to get weaker and I noticed a small nodule just under the head of the left side of my penis. Following the suggestions of many here, I began to take L-arginine (2000 mg/day), Vit D, Vit E, Omega-3, and Vit C. I immediately noticed my erections getting much harder, and I believe my penis actually grew larger for a period of 2 weeks. I also ordered Trental through RiverPharmacy, and have been taking 3 400 mg doses  per day. However, the pentox does not seem to having any effects on me in any part of my body after about a 3 week regimen(they are small pink pills imprinted with ATA).  Soon, my penis began to shrink and I began to experience moderate dull pain, and it is now slightly shorter than it was before all this started. What I find strange is that my bend is much more pronounced when flaccid, and I am straighter when erect. The bend is the worst immediately after ejaculation, and after cumming last night, for the first time, I had a clear indentation and kink to the left along with significant hourglassing.
Does this mean I should halt sex and masturbation for a while, even though many suggested erections are important for steady bloodflow to the area?
Also, if I use my hands to bend my flaccid penis the opposite way of the curvature, it sometimes stays straight for a little bit, and I find myself involuntarily doing this quite often, but would this be aggravating the inflamation?
For people that have taken pentox and L-arginine for a long time, are the benefits lost once you stop taking them? Due to my young age, I am also wondering if any of you have experienced negative long-term effects from these drugs?
I seemed to have quite some benefit with the arginine; what is the maximum healthy dose someone is taking?
I am also thinking about beginning to take L-acetyl-carnitine and CoQ10, but is this too many drugs at once?

Sorry for all the questions, but I want to beat this thing in the early stages. I'd appreciate any help/advice you guys have.

alex-

What you're describing is classical Peyronies Disease symptoms, but you should still check with a urologist to make sure.

The symptoms you are describing, such as the worsening of the curve, hourglass, and indentations especially after ejaculating is very common.  What is happening is that you are seeing how scar tissue inside the penis reacts to changes in blood flow.  For instance:  When it appears more curved when flaccid, that's because there isn't enough forceful bloodflow to stretch out that particular scar when flaccid, which is why once you have an erection, bloodflow pushes the scar out more and reduces the curve.

Also, after ejaculation the penis tends to contract to it's flaccid state pretty quickly.  Right before and during ejaculation, the penis is in it's hardest state, so the scar tissue has been stretched out.  After ejaculation and reduction into the flacced state, the scar tissue can appear more deformed temporarily as it has problems contracting normally as well.  I notice that it usually goes back to normal in about an hour.

However, this does not mean that you should halt masturbation or sex.  If there is one thing that will minimize the progression, it's maintaining regular erections.  Whether or not you choose to ejaculate with thim is up to you.

I'm not quite sure I agree that what you are describing is "classic" Peyronies. I do agree that several on the forum have similar symptoms, and that treating this early is a positive thing to do regardless. Just don't jump to the assumption that this is Peyronies Disease. Definitely monitor for any changes.
