My doctor prescribed me with only viagra and told me to take it before sex. I ve seen people here getting prescribed Pentox and not sure why my doctor didn't even mention it (he's one of the doctors recommended in this forum). While I am blindly trusting him (still need to get ultrasound done although he has diagnosed me with Peyronies Disease) I would like to know if the viagra is good for anything other than sustaining an erection in respects to Peyronies Disease.

Thanks
28 yo. Diagnosed March 13th 2020 by Dr Hakim. Prescribed Sildenafil 20 mg before sex, will have Doppler ultrasound on July 25th. ESL 40 on the way and looking to get an affordable VED. Some pain during erections, slight hourglassing.

I think its supposed to have some anti-fibrotic properties. Also stimulating greater night time erections is supposed to encourage healing... More blood flow to the penis.

So what a lot of people do is take a very low dose... 2.5 or 5 mg every night rather than taking it as needed for sex. This is what I'm planning on doing as soon as the prior with goes through for my viagra. I'm getting 20 mg and I'm just gonna cut them into 4ths.

Also, it may be unlikely that your doctor will be open to much in the way of non-surgical treatment. If this is the case, I wouldn't rely on him too heavily. My peyronies has progressed where it might not have if I had been more aggressive with treatments earlier on, but my doctor didn't give my ANY useful info on things I should do.

Ask your doc abt pentox and see how he reacts.
I'd also consider getting a ved asap.

Mac, I think you're talking if the low dose for cialis.  Got viagra you purchase the 200mg and cut it into fourths (50mg) for low dose nightly.

Well F~@My script for sildenifil is only 20 mg x30.
So I guess I should just take one of those nightly?

Thanks for correcting me.

Do you think I should try to get a prescription for a higher does?
I guess the 20mg / night is something for now...

Well, my Kaiser urologist planning to do Xiaflex injections in June prescribed 1 20mg tablet of Viagra (sildenafil) at night, just to make for stronger nocturnal erections, prior to the injections.  If I took 40mg at once it would be like that 1970s song, ,,solid as a rock" for me in 45 minutes, so that would be too much (fortunately I never got ED from Peyroines. So, 20 mg /night sounds like a normal dose to me.) Like I said in another post, Pentox was prescribed at first, 5 years ago, and I used it for the first year and didn't notice a thing. So I stopped taking it. My case of Peyroines did improve without surgery over the last 5 years on its own (the hourglass deformity disappeared and it seemed A little straighter. Length never came back. So, I really can't say the Pentox was worthless and did nothing, but I really don't know. Pentox is not FDA approved to treat Peyronies so its use is just off-label anyway. It can't hurt, so I'm not recommending against it. Just don't expect to see any change with it.

Tony, are you also saying I should try cutting up the sildenafil into smaller doses and try doing them nightly?

Also, I know this belongs in another place, but how important is the VED device and how should I know which are the good but affordable ones?

Yes, if you could purchase 200mg viagra, you could cut it into quarters and take one nightly.  Buy a VED you can afford, just be sure not to overpump.

Hi Tony,

I got the prescription and I see my doctor prescribed me for 20 mg tablets.

Would you say I still have to cut it (maybe in half) and give that a try?

20 mg cialis, you could cut in quarters for low dose nightly.
